  1. Sorry I have not been around much--spending quality time with my doctor.

This is not the first book mother and daughter writes Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark have done together. Main characters Alvirah Meeham and Regan Reilly are loved in other stories. Is this the first time you have read one of their stories? If this is not a first how do you find the characters in this book?

  2. This is the 3rd book I have read between the two, and I love them because they are a fun combinations. I have to say though that if ever those are in that same area I am at Christmas I will run, not walk, to go to another location! Funny how murder follows them everywhere just in time for Christmas!

  3. This is the first one I've read (not quite through; just a little more to go!).

  4. That is part that I like Joan you don't have to read them in order. I have to say that I didn't really like the first one as much. I am a Marry Higgins Clark fan and it took more time to get into Carol Higgins Clark. When they teamed up I was excited to read the story, but the first one I really didn't get into. However I read the next one and liked it more and now feel like the characters are people I know--I love Alvirah Meeham!

  5. I used to read Mary Higgins Clark all the time. I haven't read anything by her in a long time, but the last thing I read by her was a Christmas story. A short one, but it was good.

  6. I've never read a book by either Carol Higgins Clark or Mary Higgins Clark but I really enjoyed this one. I love mysteries with a holiday theme and Dashing Through the Snow had good suspense and good energy. I had to put it down three times before I could finish it because of homework, but I kept wanting to stop doing homework and go back to reading DTTS. I really liked the strong characters. I felt like I knew all of them and I wanted them to be safe from the Winthrops and the Elkins.

  10. I think Santa Cruise would be great to read this time of year--who couldn't stand a cruise and a mystery to boot!

  12. I enjoyed the book. I have read all of Mary Higgins Clark's books. I think you would like them all, Joan. I am going to give Carol's books a try. I read two other of their combined books just before I read this one. I just finished this one because the holidays got in my way. I like the characters.

  13. Deck The Halls, the prequel to Dashing Through The Snow is going to be on TNT Mystery Movie Night December 20th. I haven't read the book, but I really liked Dashing Through The Snow and I thought a Mary Higgins Clark based story will be a great holiday mystery movie. http://www.tnt.tv/mysterymovienight/ I'm going to mark my calendar!

  16. I've read a couple of the first Mary Higgins Clark books but nothing lately. I love Christmas-themed mysteries, so I'll have to check on this one.

  17. Thanks KK for letting us know of the upcoming movie :)

I haven't read anything but magazines for awhile, always hurt my head and eyes for the last couple of years so just didn't do it. Finally reading again and I have a stack, really tall stack of books to read.
