Flower has a unique name--how did you like the character? Do you think she should have taken her ring when offered? What reminders would be wrapped up in that ring?

I liked Flower a lot. Young, naieve, nice. The ring is just a thing, unless someone you love gives it to you. Therein lie the reminders.

I also liked Flower. I have done things like travel far from home to surprise a boyfriend.(A looooong time ago!) I think a lot of us have some memory of what it felt like to be Flowers age. How she reacted when Duncan wasn't returning her calls and how emotional and impulsive she was about just going home and forgetting about Duncan even though it was killing her. I was very fond of her. I think the flower ring was a great idea and I bet there are women named Flower who have flower jewelry.
