  1. Alvirah reminded them with great wealth comes great responsibility (paraphrashing), do you agree with her? What would you do?

  2. I agree with Alvirah. I would think it has a lot to do with personal priorities.

  3. Alvirah's character is that level headed woman that looks beyond things like money and see emotion and people. She is very observant--thus the amateur sleuth status!

  4. When I first "met" her, I thought she was going to be one of those hoity-toitys, but I was pleasantly surprised.

  5. Alvirah's intuition is what keeps the story moving. She is a sleuth because she has an understanding of human nature. She also has good friends. I think what I liked best about this story was the friendships. Everyone at Conklins, Tishie and Rhoda, Alvirah and Regan. The relationships of the people in this story make me feel like I know what life is like in Branscombe.

  6. I got the book later than most and just read it yesterday but I wanted to say it was Yummy and the intrigue, romance & integrity kept the pages turning all night long! I loved the loveables and cursed the unloveables. A fun, fast read! And Thank You to my TDK littermate who sent me the book! No gift could ever be more exciting! =D
