  1. Help!!! This is my second time on here you helped me out with introducing my kittens to each other back in August. Thanks to your tips they are getting on much better, although still have the odd fight every now and again.

Our youngest kitten who was very much contented before has begun meowing constantly and I mean constantly. She appears to be very distressed and is pacing the house, its very upsetting to see her this way. She has been like this the past few days but has got increasingly worse.Has anyone got any advice the Feliway does not appear to be working????

  2. How old is she? Has she been spayed? It sounds like she may have come into heat.

Otherwise, a visit to the vet might be in order.

  4. OH DEAR!! This sounds like a kitteh in heat! If that is the case it will not end and will get worse! The carrying on it horrific! Only went through it once with a cat from my childhood--I have always had any kitten spayed or neutered by the time they are 4 months of age.

  5. You are in for the time of your life--she will get VERY insistant! The meowing and howling will continue. Ear plugs--invest in them for this time!

  8. Not that I know of. She is calling to any potential male suitors out there... Has her older sister been spayed yet -- otherwise you may end up with two of them in chorus...

Also, she will be trying to get out of the house to arrange dangerous liaisons. Watch out for a little escape artist...

  9. They get very crafty at escaping! Although you may not enjoy her love song--there are little boys everywhere that will--they may come prowling...

  12. Can you find another vet that can help you? The only thing that can get a cat in heat to shut up for a while is being with a man-cat . . . And also, if she doesnt get pregnant on her first heat cycle, she will come on to heat agin in about two months. Also, she's probably going to start spraying on stuff to advertise herself . . . I know there are shots that they can give to dogs who are on heat to make it stop. They can still get pregnant, even with the shot, so they still have to be confined. I dont know if cats can also get shots like that, either way, I'd suggest getting her to a vet for an expert opinion.

  13. And yes, the meowing will turn into howling, and then into screaming . . . Appeal to your vet to have mercy on your soul, as you could very well be driven to murder. Otherwise, go down the list of vets in the phonebook till you can find one that will help you
