Please keep my son, Solomon in your prayers. He has terrible pneumonia for going on 2 weeks. He is unemployed-lost his job in July-and has no health insurance so wont go to the hospital. His girlfriend is taking care of him and made him go to the hospital for breathing treatments, they want to admit him but he wont do it because he cant pay. He sounds really bad. Prayers would be appreciated.
Thanks. Ginger-the worried Mom

Ginger, very STRONG prayers coming for Soloman. I am worried as they wanted to admit him, his pneumonia must be pretty bad in that case. Is there any group that helps folks who can't pay in your area? Or does the hospital help? Some hospitals that are not for profit do cut "deals" for people as they can't turn away sick people. Please keep in touch with him and make sure he gets to the ER if he has too.

(((Ginger and Solomon)))
I pray he gets better and gets the help he needs. I have to agree with MC and Kilroy..there has to be some hospital that he can go to. My sister had to have Open Heart Surgery 2x in six months and she has no insurance either...they really worked with her and wrote most of it offPosted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Ginger please ask him to reconsider his decision to try and tend this on his own--untreated pneumonia can kill. There are agencies that can assist him. Many times when honest and up front they get social services involved immediately to find a way to get the treatment that is necessary. Please know that he is in my prayers as are you. Stay strong and remember you are loved.

He has gone to the outpatient at the hospital for albuterol treatments and for antibiotics. So at least he is getting that much. And his girlfriend is very good about watching him and taking care. She did make him go to the outpatient once when he was dehydrated and they gave him IV fluids, but he would not agree to be admitted so they sent him home with tons of antibiotics and inhalers. I am pretty sure that Dody will haul him to the hospital if he doesn't improve-and we told him that if he needs to be in the hospital he should just go and we will figure out the finances later. No matter how old your "kids" get (he is 37) you never stop worrying about them! Thanks so much for the prayyers-they are a comfort.

No I am much older and Dad was a bit upset with my recent health issues. I am a bit of a bulldog when it comes to avoiding the hospital. However there are ways of getting assistance. There are so many that get help and don't give it a second thought. Your son deserves help, and he has no intention of abusing the system. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in, and he will rebound quickly!

Please Father give him a way to be able to pay for proper treatment or have someone to help him. Please annoint the Doctors and Nurses to help him on his way to healing. In Jesus name....Amen.

Keeping Solomon in my thoughts, Ginger, and hoping he has a rapid recovery. He sounds like a fine young man and he is obviously surrounded by much love and care. Thank goodness his girlfriend is on the ball. I am worried he is not in hospital but at least they are keeping him supplied with medication. {{{Ginger and Solomon}}}

My prayers go with him. I wish you could benefit fom the same health system we have here. There is no question of having to pay for hospital treatment if you're ill. If you need to be admitted as an emergency then that's what happens. It doesn't cost anything.

Glad he atleast went to clinic. You are so right that the finances can be worked out later if he needs to go to the hospital. Tell him that paying for his funeral would be way more than his hospital bills :) Men are just so stubborn when it comes health issues!

He has to get to the hospital, call 911 and go with them to get him,we had a stubborn family member we had to do this for once, if he wont go on his own. Remind him his life is more valuable than money, and to do it for his Mom and everyone else who love him. He needs to get to the hospital,no question about it. Pnemonia is nothing to play around with, its lethal.

RW how is Solomon doing today? I pray with the antibiotics on board he can turn this around. Prayers continue RW.
O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers:
Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant Solomon
the help of your power, that his sickness may be turned into
health, and sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen. -
Didn't hear from him today, but his sis-in-law said the antibiotics were beginning to work. So hopefully this is the beginning of recovery. I suspect it will be a longer recovery because he waited to go to the clinic, but he is strong and usually in good health, so I am praying he will fight this off eventually. Your prayers are so appreciated - I truly believe in their power.
