The fire is roaring, soup is bubbling away and kitties are snuggled in baskets all around. There is a full buffet of soups, salads, sandwiches, fresh veggies/dip, fresh fruit/dip and of course, the bar is fully stocked. There are blankets for the hoomin's to snuggle under. "Sherlock Holmes" is on the big screen tv and everyone is in a laid back mood tonight. On the NZ side of the room, the a/c is on! Welcome, come say hello!

What's for dinner AV? I'm sitting here picking at smoked fish for a late lunch and planning the picnic food.

..... simple fare tonight!.... hamburgers and fries (homemade).... I spice my fries with garlic, rosemary and onion... my burgers I throw whatever I have on hand in - tonite, red peppers, fresh oregano and some motzerella cheese....I'll probably slice a fresh avacado and put it on top to serve!....quick and easy!!!! the college ones are grumpy (I'm thinking slightly hung over from New Years)!... Hubbs and I will probably lay low, and read/watch the TV ..... no big excitement here tonite!... however, record lows!!! COLD!... bbbbbbbrrrrrrrrr.....

You will still see them at Easter AV! Dinner sounds delicious and I love the way you "season" your fries. I think you and WWM and MS are all really good cooks. Maybe if I had a family I would be more creative. Not too exciting cooking for one.

Good Evening MC, MS, AV, and BB. I just started a pot of cream of tomato soup and I have ham sandwiches. I became ill after the movie yesterday. Fever, couldn't hold water down, and had achy chills. Doing better today. Daughter is now a mess. Hubby started this last Tuesday. Hope we are done.

OOps, sorry for disappearing. I was giving Mr MS a haircut. Now I'm headed out to get some ingredients for tonight's picnic. We need a bacon & egg pie for a picnic, cold of course. Back on the NS later on folks

Hi, Everyone!!!! We have just finished dinner (Southwest catfish of my own invention, cheddar cheese polenta and roasted brussel sprouts) and we are off to watch a couple of episodes of The Tudors, season three. *sign* Jonathan Rys Meyers is certainly never going to be portly as Henry was!
But I'm going to go ahead and shut down my computer for the night because when we come back downstairs, it will be time for bed.
Have a beautiful evening, All! Does ie seem like Sunday to anyone but me? How nice to know that it is actually Saturday and there is one more day of not setting the alarm for sparrow fart!

Goodnight WWM. I wish AV would come back on. Betty just scratched the snot out of the palm of my hand. Was wondering what they told her back when Cuddles scratched her. Did you put an antibiotic cream on it or did your take oral antibiotics or both?

Thanks SM, I did wash it but it is right in the palm of my hand and it bled like nobody's business. I have antibiotic cream and a large band-aid to put on it. If it is red and painful in the morning I will have it looked at.

oh MC!..... Cuddles actually snagged me with her "fang" (tooth!)... I don't know if a scratch will become so infected so quick, but could be!... my ER doc said that the more peroxide I could have gotten into it, the better!... ended up with me, they had to give me both a tetinas shot and 10 day course of antibotics!... (ick).... I knew right away when I woke up the next day that it was infected!... red, sore, swollen!.... don't take any chances! ... if you see any of those signs. go to the doctor ASAP.. silly Betty, she just doesn't know what she did to her Meowmy!

It was both our faults. She was sleeping on my lap on the couch and my leg fell asleep. I went to shift postions and my book started to fall and go right toward her head. I grabbed her so she wouldn't get klunked on the head. I guess I scared her by grabbing her and she freaked out and scratched me really deep and good! I told her I wasn't mad at her but she is still hiding under the bed. :(

Just wanted to say hi before bed. i am up early tomorrow..then off in the AM to get the Cabin decorated and last minute food prep for Abbie's party tomorrow. I won't be home till late but I promise I will get pictures up of her party as soon as I can. We have a Dr appt at 9:30am on Monday so it will be after that :)

Just back from our picnic, it was lovely. Warm afternoon sun, dragonflies zipping around the water and swallows darting down to snatch insects off the river surface. We had a walk, ate the played cricket and then some played soccer. Home now and putting my feet up for a while.

Just got signed on and reading back threads, had a decent enough day. Just lazed about watching Bridezillas since they had a marathon, ok I have to laugh at that show they are so over the top with everything. Daughter made me a sandwich out of cheese/jalapeno bagel with mayo, egg beater and spam, she called it a 'duck blind sandwich'.

My craftsman came over today to spend some more time on doing my windows -- on a Sunday! He says he's had too many holidays recently... The living room windows now work perfectly, yay! Only four more rooms to go...

Well, since we don't have air conditioning over here much, it is nice to be able to open a window in the summer and not have to rely on keeping the front door open (and letting the hedgehogs in...) he is an extremely nice guy, and very good at what he does.
But the weather here is still awful, alternate rain and gale force winds here today. I would like some summer... I may have to move to MS's neck of the woods...
