Hi MC & MCW! Back to the old grind here too. Leela didn't even wake to the alarm; it took her longer to get out of bed than me! It's a balmy 11 fun-filled degrees here - the deep freeze will be later in the week, probably a day or two after it hits you, MC.

Good morning!
I was woken by three cats who insisted i slept long enough and they needed their breakfast. At least they wait till 8am. (I am a late to bed and late riser normaly)
Sammi has what looks like 2 top fangs on each side of her upper mouth. Im guessing one is baby tooth and one is adult as I never really noticed it before. I guess to go with the extra toes?
Well I need to have breakfast and better feed the crew. They are circling me... seriously. I better feed them because they wont let me do anything untill I feed them

Good morning, all! Brrr! It's very cold here and I think through most of the Midwest. Stay warm for those in those freezing cold temps.
Well, January begins my busy work season. I'll try to get on TDK whenever I get a chance, but it isn't easy when my work is piled up.

Good morning everyone. I did work last week but still it is hard coming back from a long weekend (especially knowing that there will be no more days off until my vacation in March). I heard that the temp in St. Joseph, MI was the same as the temp in Gulf Shores, AL this morning - 26 degrees! Stay warm, you Southerners.

WOW, we missed the two feet of snow just along the lakeshore. YAY! But it was a BITE getting up at 5:30 again to go back to work. I didn't sleep well last night, probably thinking about work again...
But I had a snuggler/Hermes at the foot of the bed, so I spent some time spoonin' with the Herm :-)

I cleaned out the closet last week. YOW, I'd collected a lot of crap! (lol) I took two big garbage bags of clothing to Goodwill and I've packed up a third one, bigger than the first two!
I sent a lot of Talbot's clothes to Goodwill ... so someones are going to find some real bargains on classic clothing. My tastes have really changed in the last few years.

I came across some clothes from the 80s while going thru my stuff. You just can't find a satin pink and black striped shirt anymore, except maybe at a costume store!

Morning all. It is so cold that Oliver did NOT wake us up. I awoke at 5:30 am and the cats are sleeping soundly. Roused up as if to say, What???? And went back to sleep! It was 32 degs at that point and went down to 28 by 8:30. Now it is a balmy 34 and they are up in the sun! {{Joan}} {{Jiggs}}

Morning all! It was 8 degrees here in the hearland this morning with a high of 21 expected. It was so hard to drag myself out of bed this morning! Even though it is colder than whatnot it is nice to see blue skies and some sunshine. Does anyone else feel like this is going to be one looooong week? Someone pass me a cup of joe and something warm to eat and I will make it through the day!

Morning, all! I'm late checking in because I went to the gym this morning for my second swimming lesson. Progress is definitely being made, but I have a hard time swimming in a straight line, and I tend to smack into the wall with the same spot on my elbow every time - ouch! Still, it's getting easier, and I'm definitely getting a workout.
Joan, Jiggs asked my Kilroy to send you a message through me; he said "I love you and I miss you, but please don't be sad. I'll see you soon".

Thank you Kilroy, that is very nice of you to deliver the message. Please give Jiggs a headbonk from me and let him know I will try not to be sad and that I miss him and will love him forever. I bet his fur is beautiful now - his mane is grown out and full as a lion, no more mats, and his big poofy tail goes on forever. Those kittens probably "attack" it all the time!

Busy first day back to work. AAAUUUGGGHHH !!! Computer programs have glitches changing from 2009 to 2010 -- putting us all behind waiting for the fix.
Currently 59 degrees here, headed to about 72 today. Sorry to all of you freezing out there. I did my time in -40 degree weather. -
Good afternoon everyone!! The sun is shining nicely here and it's 22 degrees.
It was so cute, I saw 9 doves out here under the feeder. I've been seeing 10 doves over the past few years hanging around here. They sit on dead branches in the woods where I can see them from the window. Their feathers shine so pretty in the sunshine. :)
HUGS Joan on the memory of sweet Jiggs. I know how much you miss your precious boy. :( I'm so sorry he can't still be here with you, in good health of course. More hugs to you! -

I have a nice pic of Shaddo and Jiggs in their better years. It makes me smile to know they look like that now.

First day back, and I learn I'm to lose all my admin support, with immediate effect! And if our 2010 budget is anything to go by, I'm going to be insanely busy and working all hours to keep up! Still, the extra hours will help me pay my credit card off...that's if I ever get paid for them, I'm still owed 40 hours from last year AND I've only been paid up to the middle of November!!
