I know this is a kitteh site, but may I ask your prayers for Simba and his family? Simba just crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. His parents helped him by having him put to sleep. He was an 8 year old black lab who went from a vibrant fun loving dog to one who couldn't walk, eat, potty or even lift his head in a matter of two weeks. He had blood oozing from every hole in his body. He "grew up" with and was buddies with Betty and Wilma. He belonged to a great friend of mine who is now devastated. Her and her husband do not have children as she has Multiple Sclerosis. He was their child. They know it was for his best but it doesn't take the pain away. I know I have a heavy heart, I have known him for 8 years. He was a wonderful dog and I pray he is pain free running thru the fields now.

So sorry for your friends, you and your kitties for the loss. I and many here know how devestating it is to lose a furbaby long before their time. Let them know that many prayers are surrounding them.

Thanks to everyone. When this post stops getting new posts I am gonna print it out and share with my dear friends. Right now I think the pain is too great, but I know they will be so touched by your kind words and prayers. I am still feeling numb and saddened today. God Bless You All!

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am so sorry to learn of Simba's passing. It is all the more difficult because it was so sudden. Although this was the best thing for Simba, I know how much that hurts. We don't have children either, and every time that we have lost a kitty we have grieved for our "child". My most heartfelt condolences on the passing of Simba.

MC, I am so sorry for the loss of Simba. That is so tragic. I know exactly what your friends are going through, as do all of us on this site. I am going to light a candle too! {{MC}}
