Is it normal behaviour for a kitten to want to try and eat everything it thinks it can? I've noticed recently that Lillie wants to eat anything she can. At the weekend I had to pull thread from one of her toys out of her mouth. The toy is now in the bin. She is fed regularly so I don't understand why she is doing this? She also has a stick with feathers on the end and even then she tries to pull them out and eat them. When I'm around I take anything out of her mouth that she shouldn't be eating.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Kitten trying to eat everything...

Also, she might have worms. They consume all the nutrients from the food your cat eats, which leaves them permanently hungry. Or she could be teething. My Stumpie is teething at the moment, I give him raw chicken drumsticks to chew on, and it really keeps him busy for a while, and he really enjoys it as well. Otherwise your kitten might just be going through a phase of eating weird stuff.

She is 6 months. My mum suggested she might be teething too. I will by her a teething ring and see if that helps. I have stuff from the vet which treats worms as well as ear mites etc, she is due another shot of it soon. She has had worms before which made her poo loose so I hadn't even though that could be an option.. Thanks for your help!

I would say that is not abnormal behavior for a kitten. As long as he's not chewing on plugged-in electrical cords, or anything dangerous, you're ok. My Kensho (about 7 months) was recently chewing on some a strand of twine and I pulled it away from him and threw the twine away. That stuff could easily choke a cat. It is good to be observant of kittens because they do tend to eat many things.
