Prayers needed please!

  1. Hello

    Please can I get a bunch of TDK white light, prayers, well wishes, anything for my dad. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and has been in a lot of pain. Well yesterday he got worse, and was struggling to breathe. He has a high fever, fast heart beat and fluid on his lungs, not sure if that is due to an infection or the cancer. He is currently in hospital, to have the fluid drained and scans to investigate what is going on. I am waiting to hear from my mum if I can head up to see him or not - if he has an infection it might be best for everyone to stay away as chemo can leave you with a very poor immune system.

    Please, pray for this to resolve well and for the chemo to work.

  2. Praying hard for your dad, Metsa. I remember so well going through this heartache with my dad. I know draining that fluid really helped him a lot, hope it does the same for your dad and that it's not an infection.

  16. The doctors have fitted the drain now, and taken over a litre of fluid out. Apparently there was a lot of blood, which means its most likely the cancer. I don't know what this means, but I can't imagine it's good. Dad did manage to text though, trying to reassure us. I really want to go up and see him but I'm in no fit state to drive, and my fiance reckons rushing up now won't do any good, since we probably wouldn't get to see him anyway (its 18.30 here).

    Thank you for all the prayers, they mean a lot to me.

  25. Just to update. My dad is still in hospital, and still has the drain in. It seems to be slowing down, but he had hoped to have it out tomorrow, and that won't happen. The good news is that they finally scanned his leg today, and it's not a blood clot. Also, he managed to eat today, not much, but he hadn't eaten in quite a few days before that. So hopefully his body will now start to gently heal. He was due a chemo today but that's been postponed until this is all fully sorted out. We've had more snow here, which is already starting to make it hard to get around - my parents live in the middle of nowhere and Dad is in hospital in town. But mum and I made it in safely today, and we'll keep on just taking it easy and hoping that Dad gets out soon.
