  1. Hello!!
I have a white turkish angora (at least that's what I think she is, she has all the traits and resemblances). I rescued her and brought her back from near death so we've always been close and she's always been clingy. About two weeks ago I had an accident and was in the hospital for about a week...it was a very stressful event for my family as well as I'm sure my pets. Ever since I've been home my cats behavior has been weird. When I leave the room (she spends most of the time in my room, I keep the food and water in my room as well as the litterbox in a space closet I don't use, because we have a dog that likes to mess with the cats) she meows desperately thinking I'm going to leave again, and when I'm in my room and she's not sleeping she meows constantly and wants to be right next me, sometimes licking my face and pawing at me. It especially happens at night because thats when she cuddles with me. The thing is it takes her forever to lay down, its almost as if she's really worried and upset. She again, meows endlessly, paws at my face and licks me. Is she worried about me? I read that when people go through something traumatic or are under extreme emotional stress (which I am) our body chemistry changes and our only our animals can sense that. Do you think that's whats going on? I love my cat to death but I'm started to lose sleep at night lol. Are there any ways to get her to calm down and is she okay?

  2. It sounds like she is worried about you, it will take her time to calm down and realize that you aren't going anywhere. She is prob losing sleep at night just as you are, give her time and reassure her by talking to her that you aren't leaving.

  3. It sounds like she is just afraid you are going to disappear again. Many of us find that our cats are clingy when we get back from a vacation. Because your baby has always been clingy, she is probably just more needy then usual. Once she realizes you aren't going to leave her again, she will calm down.
