  4. Hmmm, 30 lengths..... yeah, I'd say that counts! Good job!

I went to the gym and did an hour of cardio on the Kick A** machine and then 30 minutes of arm weights and ab work. Sweat - it's a beautiful thing.

  8. Actually, we had a ton of chicken wings left so I froze them for our next "Movie Night". Which to me is really "Snooze Night".

  15. Okay, I am reviving Thoroughly Dedicated Kits before the weekend and using this old thread. I have been experimenting with how to make my pasta dishes a little lighter on the pasta but still delicious. MS posted a thread awhile back about slicing eggplant and rolling it and I remembered hearing about using thinly sliced zucchini in place of noodles. So, since I don't (yet) own a mandoline slicer I went to my Julia Child cookbook and copied the Julienne technique with zucchini. I steamed the zucchini while I cooked the pasta. I combined them and served Shrimp Alfredo on the zucchini/noodles. It was delicious and my husband liked it too. I have since improved on my experiment and I now use about a quarter of the pasta and make 2 small zucchini or 1 small zucchini and 1 julienned large carrot. It is delicious with meatballs and marinara sauce. The mac and cheese was good too but a little watery so I guess I will drain the zucchini better next time. I also used lowfat milk and cheese and everything tasted great. The veggie noodle combination yeilded about 3 servings, I take the leftover serving to work. There's only 12 weeks to Memorial Day weekend. Time to start walking that extra mile and making leaner dishes before the summer clothes come out!

  17. There is also a squash called "spaghetti squash" and you cook it and pull out the insides and it is just like pasta-even "pre-stringed". It is delicious! I like the idea of using zucchini, KK, it sounds great!

  18. Spaghetti squash is delicious! And you can put just about any type of sauce on it, or just a bit of butter or olive oil.

KK, have you tried the whole wheat pastas? They are really very good.
