  1. Hi all...
I just noticed that Joget's pee is getting lesser these days. He's been home 5 weeks without any big episodes. Been eating and drinking well too.

But just yesterday I noticed that he's been spraying less (just a squirt toward the end of spraying), and his litter box is clean, there's just small patches of pee.

Other than that, he seems fine, though, and bladder is not full (though I can't be 100% sure, not an expert in bladder-feeling).

I've been giving him amoxcillin, just in case it's a recurring infection (I hope it is not!). Is this safe for him? Other than that, I can't do anything more, because I'm still in debt because of Joe's last treatments, and can't afford to have him checked. I do monitor him closely though, and keep praying that he stays well.

Pls give me advice and opinion on this.. Thank you in advance!

  2. Could this be a result in change in diet?

  4. No, I didn't change his diet... He's still fed the same food, science diet c/d...

    Checking the link now...
    Thanks, Soxsmom! :)

  5. You had asked for advice to change his diet because there wasn't any of what the vet prescribed. Does that mean you were able to find more? You may want to at least ring your vet to see if there is anything more that can be done.

  6. I still have a few cans left, and now I'm on my way to get more. After several phone calls, I was able to locate a place that still has it. Planning to buy quite a lot, because other places said that distibutor doesn't have any more for indefinite time.

And yes, I guess will ring the vet and ask. It's just that I don't really trust her anymore because of the wrong diagnosis she once gave to Joget (said that his FLUTD is caused by kidney failure, without doing a blood test).

Thanks for caring, Soxsmom.. :) I hope Joes doesn't get a recurrence...

  7. Got them! I bought 2 weeks worth of c/d. And this place only has 14 cans left. Wish I could just buy them all... :(

Pls, any more opinions on Joe's condition?

  9. Thank you, Katthays :)

I talked to the vet who was manning the shop where I bought the c/d. He said joe's feeling peey again might be cause by his drinking water. Here in indonesia, water is not drinkable from the faucet, so we boil it first. And even sometimes the water is not so good. There's this rubber factoru near my house (about 20 meters away), could it be tainting the water? We humans and other cats are not affected, however.
But now I give bottled mineral water for Joe. I hope he feels better soon.. :)
