  1. Crud, when I do it; I do it good.

On Friday I got hurt at work, needless to say; crutches will be part of me for awhile. GRRRR!

I was stepping off a ladder and placed my foot onto a pallett and my foot slipped in between the boards and I ended up on my back with my foot and ankle still trapped. Got to the Doc and he says that when the tendon moved with such force, it broke off a piece of the bone in my ankle. Talk about pain. OMG!

Had the weekend off and we just stayed at Drew's and did absolutely nothing except watch movies. Went to work today, and I am so sore. I am supposed to be sitting at all times, no pressure on the foot/ankle at all. RIGHT! I am putting balloon gifts together for Valentine's Day, and you can't sit to do it. Worried what will happen after Sunday and that part of the job is over and no supposed sit down work is available.

How do you know if you have torn tendons or ligaments???? I am so worried I have truely messed my ankle up. I go back to the Doc on Friday. Any thoughts?

  2. Yes follow the Doctor's orders. Get a list of your questions together for the doctor on Friday so you don't forget to ask a question. In the meantime prayers of healing are on the way.

  5. More healing prayers for you, DM. I write worker's comp reports and know that following doc's orders and especially staying off the foot at much as possible is absolutely essential. It can mess you up big time! I know, though, that balancing need to work and doctor's instructions has to be an individual thing. Good luck and keep your foot up. Keep in touch.

  10. OMG, DM, not fun. My step-dau did that in the garage just before Thanksgiving a few years ago and it took a long time to heal. Prayers yours goes much quicker. Did they give you a walking boot?? They can do wonders theses days. Her foot is perfect. She broke an ankle bone too. Tons of healing white light going your way.

  12. Talk to human resources and see if there is short term disability or if workman's comp will pay for days off needed for recovery. At the very least they can put you at a desk in the office and you can help with paperwork to keep you off your feet until you heal. Heal well my firend. (((DM)))
