Snowy Day Cafe, Feb 9, 2010

  1. Hi everyone :)

    I have school until 2:15 and then Mike has to head to work at 5:30 and won't get home until 12:30 (half an hour after midnight!). I hope I can stay up for him. He said he wants to record Lost and watch it after he gets home but yikes, I don't know if my mind will be awake enough to take in lost until 1:30 in the morning! Plus I'll be so tired tomorrow. I think we might have to reconsider and watch it tomorrow.

    The big snow is supposed to hit tonight! Maybe I'll go to Central Park tomorrow and take some photos in the afternoon of the snow. It's only a few blocks away and I bet it would be really pretty.

    Feeny somehow snuck in our room and hid under the bed last night as we went to sleep and at 4 in the morning I had kitty whiskers in my ear sniffing me. It was a cute and bizarre feeling to wake up to!

  3. Oh my goodness everyone, I was just going through my old photos online and found all my photos from when we first brought Taco home and he would snuggle up with Feeny. Look how precious these are. They make me almost want to cry

  4. Morning, love the new gravatars MC, Siobhan, CM....they are all so cute!

    Left work this morning @ 5 or something like that, had gotten sick all of a sudden. Knew it was from the headache but didn't want to deal with it there, now just hoping it passes soon this morning.

    Those in the winter storm path, hope that you are all safe, warm, and have enough supplies to get thru it. Was looking at the pictures of D.C. under all the snow before I felt ill, wondered why some were shoveling their cars out when the streets were impassable. Supposedly Wash D.C. had already spent 72% of their winter/street cleaning budget for the winter before these storms hit :(

  9. Thanks AZ Katthays and MC! I can't believe how big he's gotten and how close the boys have stayed to each other :)

    I just heard that NY Public Schools are canceled tomorrow. I wonder if they'll cancel college too? Fingers crossed!!!!

  10. Gini, no way, college students can deal with snow, sure you can shovel where no snow plows can go! Ok, common sense would say close the school, but then again what has that got to do with anything.

    Gini..OMG those pictures are just what I needed to warm me up on a cold day. Taco such a precious baby!!! So tiny. Feeny is such a good big brother and still handsome:)

  15. Hi all... I'm sneaking on here at work. made it in. OMG the roads are HORRIBLE. My computer at home is not acting right so I shut it down and hopefully it will be working when I fire it up tonight. If I can I'll check in. Back to w**k...

MC and JK....yes, we do have snow...supposed to get 4 to 6 inches....wind will pick up and we'll have drifting....I think we have an inch or so now....wake me when spring comes :) JK, Mo gave me a scare, he barfed 3x last night, would not eat or drink.....however, after alot of praying :) this morning he ate! Not his script canned food, but at least he is eating and he won't take his supplement...we didn't give him his antibio/pain reliever last night or this morning....I swear it upset his stomach...he is resting comfortably on a comforter I put on the chair...if I could give him one of my kidneys, I would!!!

  17. Taco was just the sweetest tiny boy! And Feeny played the part of Big Brother so well! It's very obvious that they were smitten with each other from the start. That's so precious that they are so close.

    Tansey's kind of a standoffish little girl. Then again, she's dealt with BIG brothers...in every way. Basil, her blood sib, was big and dumb. Hermes is smart, but I think he's even bigger than Baz was... both could overpower her very easily, all they had to do was SIT on her...or bodyslam her down and THEN the screaming would start....

  20. Just checking in before I break for lunch. I haven't been feeling up-to-par this morning. Not hungry enough to eat and feel chilled. Just want to go home, go to bed and pull the covers up, and fall asleep snuggling next to my babies.
    Hope all of you getting snow or having had lots of snow are able to stay in and stay warm.

  23. We have the same weather Cheri. Im just north west of you in southern ontario. Very mild and dry too.

    I just got back from an hour of aqua fit and then swimming laps. I had lunch and now I am ready for a nap lol!

  24. We got 3 1/2 inches here and the temperature is dropping. Roads were pre-brined and are fine so no snow day for me! :( I did get out at lunch and go for a 30 minute walk in the cold and through the snow. I re sno-sealed my boots and wanted to give them a work out. It was delightful. I promise there is sunshine coming behind those snow clouds!

    Time for a warm up of some coffee with a little bit of white chocolate hot chocolate mix in it.

    Stay warm and dry everyone, especially those in the path of the storm.

  30. Stay warm Gini and have a lovely tea party with Mike.
    Another cloudy day that will turn into an absolute scorcher(ducks low flying snow boots). The cicadas are really loud today and I'm about to head out into the garden to weed and remove flowers that have done their dash or succumbed to the heat. HRH Shadz will no doubt leap out at me from under the rhubarb leaves where she is snoozing.
    Everybody in the areas of the new snow storm keep safe and warm and snuggle with your kits.
