  1. With one hour to edit your own post, prefacing a thread with "research has proven the referenced article to be false" is not an option.

So, do we now not disseminate possible alarms to our group? I see that you did not get excited about this two weeks ago when it was fresh. Is it more offensive now that you have arrived to reopen the subject without consideration of the follow-up?

Enlighten us with a viable solution that will keep your feathers smoothed when you have something to say about one item in a thread that has not been addressed in weeks or maybe even longer.

  4. No, and if you follow her link to correspondence with the FDA her name the date stamps are for February.

It would be tempting to adhere to a conspiracy theory about an Anti-Anti-product post suddenly appearing after a thread has been inactive for 2 or more weeks but I would have to spend too much paranoia on searching out all the copies and references to the copied article to see if similar screeds were posted in the same time frame under the same or even various handles.

  5. Ailuromaniac,
I found this thread only yesterday, during my search on Google to see where else this ridiculous claim has cropped up. If you'd like to see more of my comments, feel free to visit this website, where I posted under the name of "Elizabeth": http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2010/02/02/18636816.php?show_comments The first comment that I posted there was on Feb. 6th.

Despite what you may think, I do not patrol the entire internet 24 hours a day, so I'm terribly sorry if I've arrived at this post a couple weeks too late for your liking. If posts need to expire after a certain number of days on the internet, then you probably need to take that up with the forum moderator. As long as it's on a forum on the internet, then it's fair game.

No, Fondahonda, I'm not the CEO of Petag. I'm a wildlife rehabilitator whose only financial stake in the company is about $40 worth of Esbilac and KMR in my freezer at home. If the milk is bad, I will certainly throw it away because the lives of the animals I save is more valuable than $40 worth of milk. However, there is no actual "proof" that it's bad - just a couple of claims on animal activist websites (IndyBay Media and Animal Advocates), and no claims from any official sources. I'm just annoyed at the rumors that keep flying around.

  6. You know the point is...we are a community of not just cat but animal lovers. We post warnings like this here all time. Quite frankly if what was posted here has caused the slightest damage to Petag but put one of my friends here on the guard against something that MAY be hazardous to their kitten/cat or other pet then IMHO it is worth it. I don't think anyone here would deliberately post mis-information in an attempt cause damage.

If someone is really "out to get" Petag they are only going to dig up the negative any and don't care for the truth, which was obviously not the case here.

My suggestion would be for everyone to back off here and leave this alone.
