  1. Good evening, everyone.

Dried my eyes enough to see the lounge wasn't yet open. Catering by Subway (It's Fresh!) tonight. Heck, if the Biggest Loser contestants can eat there and still lose weight, why not?! The kits are too busy watching the olympics to prepare anything anyway, though they will help serve (if you don't mind them sneaking peeks at the big screen tv's!). So pull up a chair or couch or big fluffy rug/blanket, grab a furry purry, choose your sub and of course, the fountains are flowing with your favorite drinks - and share your day.

  4. Hand delivering a nice hot meatball sub, a big mug of wonderfully delicious hot cocoa and a basket of furries for Cheri... right after I collect a warm hug and box of kleenex... thanks my friend.

  5. Hi Lainey and Cheri! Hey Cheri, I'm on your wavelength - I could go for a meatball sub, and a side of hot choc sounds good too!

  6. ....sliding over to Joan and helping the kits serve up another nice hot meatsaball sub and hot chocky... :)

  7. Evening Lainey,Cheri & Joan. I'm taking a break from being head down a*** up in the garden, it's so hot and humid I can't see through my sopping wet fringe. I'll take an iced coffee if any of the fountains are serving that.

  8. {{{Lainey}}} Thank you! Sit for a while and let this Maine Coon kitteh lay on your lap. He reminds me of my Jiggs, who I dubbed my healing kitty. He has a calming purr, you can get completely lost in his slow-blinking owlish eyes and petting his long fur and luxurious mane has an amazing relaxing affect.

  13. Evening all. Hope you had a good Valentine's Day or just a good Sunday. It's Monday afternoon here and I am sore. I played some tennis a week ago with miniKK and I seem to have a recurrence of my pinched radial nerve that I had 3 years ago. Fortunately I learned at the time to 'mouse' with my left hand but my right arm still aches when I have to use it or bend it. I plan to go to an Osteopath tomorrow as they seemed to fix it last time. As MS kindly reminded me I am not GD when it comes to tennis!!
And good news regarding the AOTB (Aunt of the Bride) dress for Meegz wedding - I finally took a dress I bought a year ago to a dressmaker for alterations and it won't cost much to fix. So it looks like I have my dress!

  14. Quiet day/evening on TDK--The usual weekend slowness and lots of great performances to watch on the Olympics. I've been doing some costume sewing today for upcoming hula performances. I made a skirt (pa'u) for my daughter. I've threaded five rows of elastic around the top of the skirt which is made with four yards of fabric. My hands hurt!

Glad the AOTB dress has been settled on, KK! :)

Lainey, I'm glad you started the night shift. The friends and the kittehs who gather here can be such a great comfort.

Hi, Cheri, Joan, MS and AV!

  15. Peeks in and in the dim light of the NS, sees the lazily swishing tails of the kittehs while they are dreaming kitty dreams. Reading back posts and such for a bit.

  16. Hi, Deb, I'm at the machine, doing some editing, will be popping in and out (but probably mostly out for an hour or two) -- sending proofs by dial-up and that NEVER goes smoothly. How was your day? It was pouring down here so I only took a short walk, not the long one I was hankering for... Proofreading all day, technical stuff, fairly cross-eyed by now, lol.

  17. love this one, http://icanhascheezburger.com/2010/02/14/funny-pictures-you-look-all-spiffy/

Evening jcat, actually didn't rain today was close to 72F here....sorry about the cross-eyed thing, have been there before :P

  18. Evening Jcat & Deb. I'm here for a short time, have a fritzy tum tonight so will be heading off to bed soon. Spent the afternoon planting out marigolds, and begonia semper virens and a lovely Heuchera called Lime Ricky. Then planted kohl rabi seeds and seedlings, cabbage and purple cauliflower.

  19. Evening Jan, the heat and working in the garden might have done the fritzy thing on you. Sounds like you made a lot of progress though in the planting.

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  20. I did make some progress but not quite the plant I wanted. never mind, they're in the garden now and I don't have to worry about it any more other then to keep them watered. HRH is still out hunting as we have rain on the way.

  21. I only went out to pick some of the lemons off the backyard tree, need to get more flowers to plant in the backyard before it starts getting too hot. The lemons are huge off of this tree, about as big as grapefruits.

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. Are they tasty lemons though. Nothing quite like a slice of lemon in a jug of ice cold water to refresh you.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. Very tasty and lots of juice, put some in a pitcher of water in the fridge

  24. my poor lime tree is taking a beating from our hot summer and it's leaves started turning yellow. I had to do a bit of fast work and feed it citrus fertiliser and Epsom salts to help get it back on an even keel. It's greening up nicely now. my lemon tree is kaput, too old and it had borer in it so it will come out soon and we'll have to plant another one.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. May your lime tree recover and get back on the even keel. Lemon trees once they get older, and if they do get the borer in them its just sad.

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. Well I'm feeling off keel myself so I think it's time I headed off to bed and hopefully a good night sleep. Apparently we had a hungry mosquito in the room last night, it didn't bother me but relentlessly hunted Mr MS and he had a disturbed night. He has been up and given the room a spray and it's aired out by now.
Sleep well when w**k is over and I hope The Crew leave you to slumber without interruptions.
Jcat, hope you got all your w**k done and dusted this evening, headbonks to Libby & Jasper and The Crew.
Off to have the 'girls' squeezed tomorrow(breast screening) I'm being responsible.

  27. Aaargh, I've just missed her. Sorry to hear about your tum, MS, hope you sleep well, sweet dreams, and wake feeling much better.

I am still sending proofs :(

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  28. You didn't miss me then but I am signing off now.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  29. Oh, poor lemon tree. And I forgot to say, scritches to HRH!

Sat at the dining room table and moved a light there to work in comfort and good light -- left the room for a minute and when I came back, Libby was all curled up on the seat, right under the (so she thinks) heat lamp, left there for her own especial comfort. Charming!

But she's such a sweetie, I've left her there with the light on...

:( about the lemon tree, I hate borer, it ruins things inside and then it goes and ruins them outside as well :(

MS, I invested in a couple of those robot spray can things, I love them during summer, they work so well, and on crawly things as well as flies and mozzies. And supposedly, in a day they only release as much spray as a normal five second spray of anything else. But you do have to keep cleaning up dead flies from everywhere...

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  30. G'night Jan, sleep well and hope that your tummy calms down. Scritches to HRH in the morning.
