A fully loaded buffet from Panera today with pasteries, cereals, yogurt and hot beverages. Hope your day is great wherever you are. I will get to pick up the new ones so this means I can hopefully hear a little better :)
I somehow managed to set off my smoke detector again. I was only heating the water to warm up vegstables and the thing goes off. It wasnt like I was burning anything. the smoke detector isnt even near the kitchen. it probably reacted to the warm moisture. its irritating because I can't cook anything without setting it off. I should tell the landlord. It might be defective or something. I have never set off the alarm this often.

Morning littermates from a chilly 34 degrees in Fla. Sunny and chilly. Well today is the day Bob looses his gall bladder! He is so excited! They are doing a lapanscopic cholecystectomy' or something like that. I am having my coffee, trying not to enjoy it in front of Bob. I'll grab an omelet and some biscuits and coffee to go. I'll check in later this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone! My nerves are shot, so perhaps some calming tea and, is there a Maine Coon agency kitteh in the house I can cuddle with?
To add to all the fun, my ride home was fine yesterday till I started up the mountain. Folks down here in "the valley" don't understand that the weather is completely different up there. Suddenly, everything was white - absolutely beautiful, (right around the spot in the road where my ears pop!) and the roads were covered, untreated, and really slick. Hi everyone who's appeared since I disappeared :) Yikes Joan! Stay safe, please. SOM, I will keep Bob in my thoughts today; I hope he feels much better after the procedure.
I spent the morning sharpening pencils (aka battle weapons) for the American Crossword Tournament this weekend. This will be my third year, and the last 2 I've come in either 315 or 320 out of just over 700 contestants. The only way I could significantly improve my results would be to increase my solving speed, and that's not happening, so I can be satisfied with that.
George was a little nut this morning, tearing around after his mousie, repeatedly whacking it under the TV (where someone has to get it for him using a long stick). I think he does it for attention :) When I left for work he was stretched out in a sunbeam sound asleep.

Kilroy, good luck on your tournament. I can't believe it's been a year already. Personally I think 315/320 is wonderful. I would be 700..lol.So Maddie got up today and once we got Abbie up, I had to make breakfast, clean it up, clean up the girls, get them dressed, then Maddie wanted to paint, so I had to get all the stuff, then she's been playing her recorder...oh my...Abbie has been climbing on the couch and falling off a few times. She is learning how to be on the couch like a good girl...sitting down and getting down.

Stepping away from the madness and into the happy cafe. Leela has lost her mini wiffle ball again. She loves to roll it around on the floor just outside the bedroom and sometimes sends it bouncing down the stairs. Alas, it has holes in it so she can pick it up, trot up the stairs and resume the game. Morning all! Been really busy at work, trying to get auction items donated and get a list together for invitations, and do my regular things! I was in a weird mood this morning, so I had a tuna sandwich for breakfast and it was pretty good. Maybe I will have a reverse day and have eggs for dinner?
Joan, you can stay here in the happy cafe for as long as you like! Put your feet up and enjoy the coonie on your lap who is making biscuits and purring like a motorboat!
Ok off to finish some letters and then run errands.
