  1. Hi all! Hope your days were good. Mine was crazy but ok. I am home now with two fluffballs on my lap and I am happy about that. What's new?

  2. Hi everyone. Not the best day here. Mike is at work and still extremely depressed. We barely slept last night and I had a nightmare (as always). Today I've had to write a paper which I've had the worst time concentrating on, read 140 pages of a book, do 4 pages of german work, study for a quiz, and do 25 math problems. I've been going non stop and just don't feel like I can finish so much work in such little time. I feel like I never have enough time anymore. I feel like I need to just go and take a break out in the fresh air but I can't. I'm really worried about Mike, worried about school, and just worried about life. I also feel a sore throat coming on and am hoping I don't come down with that fever and bug Mike jsut got over.

Hope everyone else is having a better day.

  4. Aww, Gini, hang in there, you can do it even if you feel like you can't! I have all the faith in you! "It's when you are the hardest hit, you musn't quit!", words to live by!

  5. Thank you both very much Kilroy and MC. I just wish I could run off and take a vacation somewhere and ignore everything sad or negative going on lately

  6. Watch out! You might run into me on that vacation! I want to run away from everything too right now!

  10. You know, I almost don't even want to get into graduate school because I feel so bad. I know he'd be happy for me if I got in but I just feel weird about it. I hate being in limbo and I don't think I'll be too happy no matter which way it turns out.

  11. Gini, I know how you feel. I was there, its a difficult transitional period!

  12. Hello! I'm so glad to be home. Its been stressful since, well, let's just say it's not the best time to be a public employee in nj...
Anywho, who cares - I'm home with hubby and Leela! Life's good!

  14. *Waves* to Joan, MC, Gini and anyone else still around! Evening all!.... glad hump day is over, so much to do, and so little time!.... I started this job years behind! LOL.....

I'm cooking a nice dinner tonight.... for some reason, stressful days seem to make me want to make a nice comforting dinner when I get home!....it relaxes me!... I bought some beautiful veal chops, that I pan seared, then put in a baking dish, with rice, fresh tomatoes, thyme, mushrooms, beef stock and fried onions....... then I'm sauteeing some fresh baby carrots and zuccinin in a garlic/lemon/butter sauce!... healthy, and yummy!

  15. AV that sounds delicious!! Today I made a spaghetti sauce (out of crushed tomatoes in a puree, diced tomatoes, cut up red pepper, garlic clove, white wine, and some spices) on the stove for dinner. I usually make it in the crock pot but I got a hankering for it at about 5:00 and decided the stove would be faster and it was ready to eat within an hour! Had it over some pasta and had a kit kat bar after.

  16. Hi AV! Your dinner sounds great! Being Catholic and it being Ash Wednesday, it was a meatless dinner for me. That's ok though, I don't need meat all the time anyways. Gini, yours sounds good too!

  17. MC I am loving the avatar

  18. No wiffle ball yet, sigh. She's having fun playing with her plush ball though and hiding under an area rug. "Where's Leela?" hehe!
AV, dinner sounds yummy! We had leftovers: meatball parm sammies and some leftover crockpot chicken stew - the stick-to-your-ribs stuff. Perfect for a snowy night - flurries, anyway, very pretty.
MC, I'm liking your avatar too. I don't "see" anyone at w**k (*kicks firewall*) and it's really nice to see everyone when I'm happily at home!

  19. Its just such a cute pix of Wilma, she always "hangs" over the computer when I am at my desktop in the office in the basement!
