  7. Hi all...

Joget went through the surgery just fine. He's home now, but we're scheduled for a check-up tuesday.

I've browsed the netN trying to find out what to expect after surgery. They say the cat will be sleepy and lethargic. Yeah, tell that to Joe. He couldn't stand still! I don't think he likes being caged in his own home. He settled down after awhile though. The boy's asleep now.
I'm worried about his appetite though. He is usually a big eater. But he only ate a little. About 2 teaspoonfulls of eagle pack hollistic select. Is this decline in appetite normal?

And I couldn't give Joe his medication yet. He doesn't like being syringe-fed. I usually mix his meds in his food. But since he's not eating yet, I hope it's OK to postpone his meds until tomorrow. And I hope he eats more tomorrow!

Once again thank you very much for the prayers and support! Pls continue hoping for Joe...

  10. Hi all... It's now sunday morning here. Joget has his appetite back! He ate a bowl of food just now, with his meds mixed in.. :) he looks so much better and I let him walk around the backyard for a few minutes.

What worries me is that he is still feeling pee-y. Keeps getting into the pee position often. Urine is still bloody and comes in drips too. Is this normal? I hope so..

Thank you again for the well-wishings... Pls keep Joe in your prayers... :)

  11. More healing energy for Joe. He must be feeling very sore after his surgery but so good to hear that his appetite's returned!

If you have any worries, Dionne, ring the vet who performed the surgery. It's their job to keep you informed.

  12. Joe is getting better, I think :)
He keeps begging to come out of his cage, and of course, I obey. I have to follow him everywhere he goes, though, to make sure he doesn't jump (he did, once) and that his e-collar doesn't touch anything dirty.
He eats all his food, too. And I feed him every 2-3 hours.
Really, he doesn't act sick at all. I hope he keeps up this positive attitude.

  13. That's one of the things I love about animals, they are always raring to get better and so impatient to get back about their animal business :) Keep getting better Joe, we are all pulling for you!

  14. Just a few updates on Joget...

He's still on catheter because he still has blood in his urine. He doesn't like being caged, and always begging to be let out. The bandage on his testicles came out because he tried to lick it. I went to the vet to get another bandage, and it came off again as soon as we got home. He couldn't lick it though, because he's wearing an e-collar, but the collar rubbed on the bandage, thus unattached it.

What worries me is that now, the e-collar rubs on the stitches on his testicles.
All I'm doing now is just giving the stitches a few drops of betadine 3 times a day. We're scheduled to see the vet tomorrow, and I hope he knows what to do.

What scares me most is that when I let Joe out of his cage, he sometimes sits on the ground. Is this dangerous for the exposed stitches on his testicles?

All in all, in my opinion Joe is doing great. He eats well and talks well (lol) he has such positive attitude, it's amazing.

I hope Joe will get fully well...

Thanks for all the prayers and support! :)
