Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening all in TDK land. Why is life so difficult? Right now I am going thru a rough patch and haven't been able to get around here as much as I would like. So I thought I would help the kittehs open the cafe. We have another winning buffet full of meats, eggs, fried potatoes, cheeses, fresh fruits, pasteries, yogurt, cereals-hot and cold, coffee/tea/cocoa, juices, milk, and water. Hope your day is good and I am always thinking about my TDK family! :) It's almost the weekend! YAY!

Morning MC! I hope things improve for you soon...everyone goes through these low times now and again. Oh boy, fried potatoes....life is good when you can have fried potatoes for breakfast! I see there's some corned beef hash on the grill over there too....can I have some? With cheese too, yes, thank you. (smiles at the orangie kitteh chef at the short order grill)
Oh man...I woke up thinking today was Friday! What a letdown!
-
Oh Sio, that's so funny! When I woke up I thought it was Friday too! What a letdown for sure! Here is a little Maine Coon with your potatoes!

I've got you both beat, I thought *yesterday* was Friday :) That would have been a problem since I still have a crazy amount of work to do this week. But then it's the weekend, the crossword puzzle tournament, and Mr. K's daughter is coming up from Pittsburgh for a visit.
Mmm, fried potatoes sound awesome, with maybe some scrambled eggs with cheese, pretty please?
-
Morning! (((MC))) Hang in there honey, hopefully you will turn a corner and it gets easier for you.
mmmmm fried potatoes are AWESOME!
I am making bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese and rye toast for breakfast today. Maddie is eating hers now. Abbers is still asleep so I am trying to make mine now and eat before she gets up...
I hope everyone has a good day!Posted 1 year ago by cricketsmama #

Yeah, looks like the medical bills have overtaken my life. I finally sat down and looked at them. I can't imagine the costs! I know I have insurance but it sure doesnt' seem like it. They sure are picky on what they will/won't pay for. I am sucking it up and looking for a second job. One to do at nights and on weekends. I am not excited at the prospect but I need to get the billers off my back. It seems I can't pay them all at once so I am trying a little here and a little there but they all want it all NOW. No one is bending or helping in this tough economy. Sucks Monkey Toes CM!

Hello, all! Mmmm...I haven't had fried potatoes in such a long time. Please, a plateful for me with orange juice.
Didn't get all my work done from yesterday, so another day with a stack of work to do.
No more snow so far here, but the temps are sure low. Brr.
MC, low times are hard, but we're always here to help cheer you up. Wishing you a better day ahead.
And a good day to everyone else.Posted 1 year ago by LadyKat of IA #

Hi everyone! A light brekky for me; going out for lunch to celebrate Aunt May's b-day - she's 88!
Found Leela's wiffle ball, yay - all is right with the world! *sigh - I wish...* She was so happy to see it she didn't even come downstairs to say goodbye to me!Posted 1 year ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

MC, I have found that billings are always wanted right now, but most of them will accept payments as long as they are done in a steady manner. I send out our billing for clients and I always say that I would rather they make some effort to pay rather than letting the billing continue and having finance charges pile up. I had to make payments on bills like that a few years ago. None of the companies refused my payments. Hang in there and work out payment plans that work for you and you'll get those bills taken care of.

Hello littermates! Know what you mean about not knowing what day it is. Your prayers all worked and Bob had his feisty gallbladder out and is on the mend. Sio, email me if you wish. Everything went quite smoothly and he is eating graham crackers and had his first cuppa joe this a.m. and thought it was the best. I'll grab something off the buffet and run. Have a great day all, and thanks for the prayers again.

*waves to everyone*
SOM, that is wonderful about Bob. So glad everything went okay. :)
MC, just remember they can't get blood out of a stone! Talk to the manger of the billing department and work out something if you can. Big hugs to you. Don't overwork yourself either! LK is totally right on with her post.
LK, hope you are not working too hard either.
Joan...Happy birthday to your Auntie!!! how cool 88 :)Posted 1 year ago by cricketsmama #

{{{MC}}} I wish so much that I could win the stupid lottery - the first thing I'd do would be to pay off all your medical bills. Everyone has good advice, try to work out payment plans and try not to stress *too* much (I know, it's just about impossible). I will keep buying lottery tix :)
SOM, so glad to hear your Bob is on the mend. Hope he's home to you soon.
Happy birthday to Aunt May! Have a wonderful lunch, Joan and give her our besst wishes.

Thouroughly Thursday greetings to all from sunny M'waukee! Did anyone notice that it is much liter in the A.M. now! I walked to work to celebrate that Spring is really on the way! MC...med bills/ugh...doesn't your hospital have a Guardian angel policy/write offs for hard pressed patients?! Otherwise a little bit at a time should do. Per a friend in a similar situation...much luck to you. Waves to Katt,Kilroy,Lady,Sio,CM,Sam,Chey & Joan as I grab my cup of java and head back to W__k! Smoochies to the choco point Kit at the coffee bar!

I would love to walk to work - good for you JK! It's all downhill going in, but going home would be mighty tough, not to mention it's several miles! Ooh, and there's the bear element...

Good point Joan...I agree several miles vs 1/2 mile is a big difference. I used to have a 40min drive to my last place of employment...thus I found a new place to call W__k! Nothing is purrfect but you have to make it work if you gotta w__k! Hey, have a near purrfect rest of the day at w__k! Hahaha...Now, where is my coffee cup?!
-
A late entrance to the cafe, as usual for me. W__k kept me busy this morning.
CM - you are in my thoughts. Good advice has already been given. It's not easy, but you can do it. Little bits at a time. I hope there is some sort of write-off that can be found to help you.
Is there any food left? I'd love fried egges, corned beef hash and fried potatoes. YUM! -
Hello everyone. Stressful day. I had school from 10 until 4:30. Today I had a quiz which I barely had time to study for last night (because I had so much homework due today....4 pages of german, a 5 page close reading analysis paper in english, 150 pages read of a book and post about it, 25 or so math problems, and a chapter outline).
I'm trying to wind down, work on homework slowly, and making a tea.
Haas anyone ever heard of Jasmine Pearls? It is this tea we got from mike's work. It's fresh jasmine blossoms wrapped up tightly in a leaf of green tea in a ball that flower once you pour hot water over them. It reminds me of honey suckles in taste.
Last night a fireman came buzzing our door but I don't know why. When I went out to talk to them they ran down the steps and went away. It was really bizarre.
Still no word back yet from graduate school for me.

Hi, Everyone. Gosh, I have missed hearing all of the TDK news while we've been gone. We got home late this afternoon from El Paso. It was an emotionally exhausting visit but we are so happy that we were able to go and be of help at this sad time to our friends.
We got home only to find a message from Mr. WWM's sister to call her. His mother had a stroke on Monday and I guess the sister didn't have our cell phone number. His mom is 91 and so I'm very afraid that this could be the start of a decline. She's doing fairly well and is still in the hospital but will have to be moved out of independent living when she is discharged and into a nursing home.
*sigh*

Thank you, Kilroy. It wasn't exactly the news that we wanted to hear just now.

I am sorry to hear that news, too, WWM. My prayers for Mr WWM's mom and for both of you, also. Warm hugs...
