   Hi Family - Dad is failing and he wants to go. We are saying our goodbye's and "I love you's" and "thank you's." One week, tops, but I don't think it will be that long. I am asking for your prayers for his transition to the next life, that it will be uneventful and hopefully pain-free. I told him about all your birthday wishes and his birthday cafe and he was tickled. I know he will pray for all the "crazy cat people" when he is at the Throne of the Lord.

   I've begun a lot of the work for his funeral and such as I know I'm gonna be a mess but I promised him I would take very good care of him and I will. Told him to look down on his baby girl and smile.

   Please pray for his remaining children, me, Glenn and Carolyn.

   I'm home right now and will be going back to his place in a few hours till he goes, with mabye some breaks back here to shower and such. I just so dearly want to be with him when he crosses over. Please pray that happens.

   I'll check in when I can and thank you, dear family.

    Thank you, everyone. Hospice care started yesterday and he got his air mattress today which is making him more comfortable. His kidneys are failing and his liver must be, too, as he is turning yellow. The nurse that came today is the one that said one week. The case manager comes tomorrow. The starter kit arrived today. I will be going back in about an hour or so and will print these out and read them to him. No printer at home (and it's the dinosaur computer anyway). I know he will cherish your comments and prayers as much as I do. He's a good egg.

    Dear Mr A,
    We all love you here, you are a member of our "crazy cat family"! Prayers are coming to you for a peaceful passing but also to your children so that they may be able to get thru a very difficult time. Please know that you are a great man and raised a wonderful daughter in Lainey. You should always be proud of her. I am sure your other children are wonderful as well, I simply do not know them personally. If they are anything like Lainey, they are special people. Know we are all with you until you cross over into the next life. When you get to Heaven, would you look up my dad and say hello to him for me? He will be glad to have another friend in Heaven. He was a good man, I think you will get along well. Please keep an eye on your children, they will need you as their guadian angel.

    I'm so glad that I "met" Lainey through TDK. She introduced you to us, so in a small way I feel like I got to "meet" you as well. I pray for you as you enter the sunset of your life. You have handled your illness with grace and good humor and I respect and admire you for that. I also pray for your children, that they will cherish their years with you as their father.
