Congrats Kilroy, you placed well :)
MS & jcat, I can't read the abused animal stories much anymore, hurts too deep in my heart.

*waves to everyone*
It's Sunday Morning....whooo...or almost Monday in NZ :)
I slept on the couch last night since Wayne is still sick...thought it was my best bet. I was exhausted after yesterday and then after I got the girls to bed, I had to run out to the store since we needed milk. I have to admit I was a grump yesterday.
Just got up a few minutes ago and I have a nice cup of hot tea..mmmmm
Meegz wedding sounds beautiful and it will be! Can't believe it's almost here
Kilroy, you did awesome!! 178/230...still good in my book:)
I don't watch or read abused animal stories either...I just can't it hurts too much.

That's exactly the way it feels, Deb.
I feel the same way about child abuse and environmental stories too, especially about the vanishing species on this earth. I used to be a news junkie but now I can't read stories about any of them any more. There's nothing I can do and it hurts too much.
I care about adults too, but at least they have a voice. Animals and children don't.
Morning CM, it's almost 1am Monday morning and time I was tucked up in bed. I just had to stay and say Hi to you CM, I knew you would be along soon.
Kilroy you're doing really well, but what sort of puzzles are these?

*Waves back at CM and throws her a kiss.*
Good morning, CM, it has been Monday for nearly an hour here already! (OMG, and I was going to go to bed early!)
Sounds like you got a good night's sleep, even though it was on the couch. I'm so happy for you! Enjoy your cuppa! I keep wanting a chocolate biscuit but I am still trying to delumpify (they tell me it takes longer than a week, waaaaaaaah!)
Night MS. Glad I could "see" you and say hi before your slumber :)
delumpify? oh heck, I am one big lump...you only live once..have a chocolate biscuit for me :)
I did get a good night sleep on the couch. I took the back pillows off and it's like a twin bed. Fred was in sow heaven and laid with me almost all night. Cricket got to lay on the girls little play couch since I put a small blanket on that and she got her own bed.

MS, she does crossword puzzles.
Morning CM :)
jcat, thats the way I feel, humans have a say and children and animals don't. They killed a bat here last night just because it was scared and didn't know how to get out of the building, they could have caught and released it but no it had to be killed :(

Kilroy is doing crossword puzzles MS. I think this is her 3rd year in the tournament. She rocks at those.

CM, I am working at the delumpifying myself, trying to walk everyday.
Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #
LOL, delumpifying takes a lot longer. I've come to the conclusion that some lumps just won't shift no matter how many miles you walk, salads you eat or times you constrict it in Spanx. It still seems to be there. oh well, I'll just make friends with it.
Goodnight friends, safe drive home Deb, sweet dreams Jcat, I hope Mr CM gets well quickly CM and have a good day. Kilroy, happy puzzling.
Headbonks for The Crew,Libby & Jasper and Fred & Cricket.

MS, the puzzles are crosswords, I'm competing in the American Crossword Tournament (although we do have some international competitors, mostly Canadians but one Dane this year). There's one more puzzle this morning and then the top 3 people in 3 different skill divisions face off in finals, which are ridiculously exciting if you're a puzzle person. The final scores take a while to settle out, as people appeal judging decisions (although I'm not sure how that works, I mean, if the judges can't tell what you meant to write, should you really get credit for it?).
Jcat, wouldn't it be lovely if delumpifying could happen in a week? Then everyone would do it and we'd all be better off :)
That's sad Deb. Bats are harmless I think.
They just reported a story here that a 2 year old little girl was killed by her mom by scalding her to death for a punishment. I look at my little ones and I can't even imagine thinking to do anything like that. I have yelled and smacked a few bottoms, but even that I feel bad. Never would I do what some of these people do. Poor children and the animals too.

Kilroy you are #1 in our book :) We know you do awesome at those puzzles.
Hope you do wonderful today too.

Night MS..sleep tight and have a wonderful tomorrow :) Scritches to HRH.

Crosswords? Ohhhhhhhh my favourite puzzle. I love crosswords, do them all the time here. Probably not to the difficulty you do Kilroy but they are a great way to keep the grey matter working. Good luck with today's puzzles and may you fly up the rankings. Sending TDK vibes to help you fly up Kilroy.

MS, sleep well and may your day tomorrow be wonderful, scritches to HRH in the morning.
CM, I know some of the stories are so sad and then they wonder why their children turn out like they do. There was just a story a week or so ago about a 14 yr old girl locked in the bathroom for 2 months because she allegedly cheated on a home-school test and 'stole' food out of the house....plus the dad made her exercise to exhaustion during the day :(

Nighty-night and sweet dreams, MS, I am following not far behind. Scritches to HRH.
Awww, Fred and Cricket, how sweet, I bet Fred loved being with his mum and I bet Cricket loved having her very own bed :)
Deb, they killed a bat? That's horrible; that's so unnecessary. Apart from anything else, they run the risk of rabies and other dangerous viruses and if they're going to treat bats like that, they can hardly complain if it happens. Why couldn't they just open a window (or use a net and gauntlets?)
Why are people so crummy?
jcat, bats are harmless plus they eat insects and keep them under control. Yes, some do get rabies but that is just how life in the animal kingdom goes.

I read that Deb! I was so appalled and so glad she got out and got help. How does this cross anyone's mind to do this to anyone???? There are days I am ashamed of the human race.

CM, I know, and the father and step-mother pled not-guilty, I can't say fluffy things about that kind of stuff.

Oh I hear the stirring of Maddie girl....it's after 7am and the sun is coming up...So I must run too. Time to start my day ready or not..lol
Hugs to all. Have a good night or day and I hope to catch everyone later or tomorrow.
Off to start the sausage for brekkie!

Have a good morning CM!

jcat, thats the question I asked, why couldn't they use a net and release it and also why couldn't they wait for animal control to show up to do the capture. And I believe that bats are still on the protected list here.

Have a great day, CM! I bet breakfast is cheerful chaos in your house :)
Deb, yes, of course, bats are harmless and if there are no bats left, who's going to eat the mosquitoes which are soon going to be carrying tropical diseases much further afield, thanks to global warming? I just meant that it is more dangerous for humans to kill animals who might be carrying disease than it is to leave them alone.
Well, I must be going off to bed too, and I will give the furrbutts an extra cuddle tonight. Rest well tonight, Deb, and -- as MS says -- take care driving home :) Headbonks to the Crew!
Have a great day, CM, Kilroy and everyone else!
JCAT, sleep well, and have a wonderful day in the morning, scritches to Jasper and Libs in the morning. And I will drive safe on the way home.
Kilroy, thumbs up!!
