Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening TDK family. Hope you are all well. Kittehs overslept AGAIN! These Olympics are pooping them out! We have beautiful tablecloths and flowers on the tables, cloth napkins and the best China out for Sunday. The champagne fountain is flowing with all sorts of yummy berries around the fountain. The kittehs are making some yummy egg casseroles, quiche, scrambled eggs, omelets, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, muffins, bagels, donuts, saugage and biscuits, bacon, hot and cold cereal, cheese and fresh fruits, yogurt and anything else you can think of. Please come join us, kittehs are keeping the "world" theme in honor of the Olympics. I am off to the store, we are supposed to get a blizzard today, starting at noon. Gotta have some cat food! :P

Morning everyone!..... what a lovely day (finally!) this bright and sunny Sunday morning..... Mr. AV and I had a nice morning at church, then a lesiure breakfast at our favorite little local BBQ place around the corner...... we got home, cleaned the 4 cat's boxes (yes he helps) and are finishing up some minor cleaning/straightening up to start the new week....... we'll probably relax for a bit (watch the Olympics or golf), and then I think we're going to see the movie "it's Complicated"..... many of our friends have told us how funny it is..... anyone else seen it?

MC, I hope you don't get too much of a blizzard again.
AV - I spent a lot of the weekend lying around watching the Olympics - my pinched nerve in my arm is still quite painful and it makes me really tired. Fortunately, MrKK was very good and cooked the meals. But now it's Monday and I have a big client presentation on Wednesday to prepare for. Its also going to be 'tense' in the office between my manager and the boss. She is not supposed to come back to work without doctors clearance after she had her seizure in the bosses office last week. She was planning to see the Dr today but the boss was pretty peeved last week that she hadn't informed him or the company that she has epilepsy. Fortunately she had told a couple of us and i was there at the time - normally i would have gone for the day. Anyway - things are already awkward as she only has 4 weeks left until her job finishes and she has nothing new to go to and may have to leave the country!Posted 1 year ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

... do tell about MS's outfit for the wedding.... I must have missed when she posted that she found something.... I knew you, Mum and Mr. MS were all set, but I was getting a little worried that all MS had so far was her jewelry! LOL.... what color and style did she go with?

AV - I'm not really sure what MS has got - I think she did tell me but she was still missing some part of it so I haven't had the full details yet. I will let her know that enquiring minds are enquiring!

I'd love to hear about it.... what does your dress look like?... I know you and MS are both red-heads, as are my mother and her sister.... I remember at my wedding (some 25 yrs ago this June) Mother wore a lovely light aqua, and her sister, my Aunt wore lavender.... they both looked beautiful!

Hi all, I'm home from the crossword wars, exhausted but satisfied. I ended up 240th out of 647, and I made one dumb mistake on the last puzzle (only one square, but still, grrrrr). I think I'm going to go try to take a nap, my head's still killing me. Think it will stop in time for next year's tournament?

HI KK, AV and Kilroy! KK, sorry bout your arm. You need a lemon donut to help it feel better. AV, your morning sounds lovely. It's Complicated is a really good movie, you will enjoy it! Kilroy, good job! I can't even DO a crossword puzzle so I am in awe of you. They really frustrate me and I just put them down. I don't a little bit about everything which helps when you do crosswords.

I love general knowledge crosswords, but I just don't get the cryptic ones. My Mum used to do them all the time, she was a real whiz. To try and keep my brain alive and fit I have got myself a Nintendo DSi (ebay of course) and I try to do the brain training every day.

Cryptic crosswords are evil, PM, and I never even try them.
A couple of interesting things from the tournament finals; the 25-year-old whiz kid who's won the tournament the past 5 years didn't even make the finals, and for the first time in 20 years there was a woman in the finals (yay!).

I'm watching the Ski-cross from the Olympics. It's completely insane!
A Jamaican has just won one of the heats. Somehow that's just wrong - it's like that film Cool Running. You just don't expect Jamaicans to take part in snow sports and be any good. He's through to the quarter finals. It's great.
So far I have seen two major crashes and one competitor has been stretchered off.

The crosswords I do are general knowledge, many of them have themes but the clues can be just about anything. The crossword editor for the New York Times says that he thinks the puzzle should reflect all the different sorts of things that are in the paper, so there are pop culture clues, science, just about anything. Some people think there shouldn't be pop culture clues or word play clues, but I like the variety.

Evening all!.... ok, so "It's Complicated" was very funny!.... Mr. AV and I really enjoyed it!.....fixin to heat up some yummy leftovers, and watch the Olympics tonight!..... Abby apparently spend her entire day in "my" chair, with the heating pad!..... what a little princess!

OMG! LOVE the dress!.... it's georgeous!....... you'll look stunning!.... what is mini KK featuring?.... I remember when my sister (10 yrs younger than me) got married, both my children were in the wedding.... Bryan was about 10 and Jill about 7 - they had the cutest wedding outfits!....... his little tie matching the color in her little dress..... it's some of my favorite pictures of them!

MiniKK is wearing a royal blue sleeveless knit dress with a cowl neck and it has a sort of drapey bottom with pockets at the hem - She is wearing a black shrug over it and has permission from the bride to wear her Converse sneakers (a la Kristen Stewart)althought that hasn't been decided yet! Very teenage style.
