Why does my cat hurl hairballs sometimes?

  1. If your cat hurls hairballs sometimes, it is because when their fur gets in knots, it untangles and swallows the hair. If he/she swallows lots of hair, the hair inside the stomach forms into a hairball, and later the cat will throw it up. To stop this, I would recommend grooming your cat's hair to prevent him/her from untangling and swallowing more hair! Because if their are no knots, there is no hairballs.
