I recieved a birthday alert---

  1. For those of you, who may receive birthday alerts from Birthday alarm, I as well as you may have seen one for Terri Pickett for February 27th. It would have been her 49th birthday.

    I wanted to share this because many of us knew her and still remember her.

    Maybe we could put a thread up that day of rememberance for our departed friend.

  2. CM got her notice on Friday and said something during the cafe or NS can't remember which.

    Catwoman said the same thing yesterday.

    Hard to delete a name from your list--especially someone like Terri. I think you are right Lynn--and I have a feeling her family would love to see the thread.

  4. I don't delete my much loved but departed family/friends. The birthday reminders are bittersweet but I still want to receive them.

  5. No need to be sorry. I think you are right and that we need a thread for that day to share stories and memories. Those memories keep Terri alive in our hearts and keep her near us. I would love to read the stories--she had a heart of gold and a spirit of true love.

  6. Lynn, I did receive a birthday alert. It just made me feel so sad for such a beautiful life ended far too early.

    It wouldn't matter if this subject was repeated over and over. Terri's gift to us is to remember to live each day.

  7. Lynn, Betty, SM, I too received a reminder. I cannot delete the remindes either. They have such good memories. I think coined the word 'Caturday', at least I think about her every time I see it used and smile.

  8. I miss her very much and I have daily reminders of her. There is always a toy, book or something she sent the girls that I see every day. When the girls do something silly or say something, I used to tell her and send her pictures. We talked about visiting and taking the girls to Disney together. I am so glad she was in my life for the time I had her but it is also bittersweet.

  9. I got the same birthday reminder! I will try to reach John on that day to make sure he is holding up okay! I was 1 week away from meeting her when she passed, I think about how things could have been different if I had visited one week sooner!

  12. I think most of us got the birthday reminder for Terri. I immediately felt ill and deflated to once more think of how young and vibrant she was at the time she left us. I too think we should honor her special day.

  14. When I got the reminder, I was sad for a minute thinking about the loss, but then smiled remembering how special she was. I hope John is doing ok.
