  1. Happy Middle of the week to one and all. I noticed the cafe was not open yet so I decided to help the kittehs get it started. Today it is catered from Cracker Barrel and there is anything you want to eat available. Kittehs are minding the coffee/juice bar and are at your service.

Think of me at 8am CST, I am having my yearly "performance appraisal" and I am not sure how it is gonna go after the last year I had (fingers, toes and paws crossed!)

    Have a great day!

  2. MmmmmMMMMmmmm, things smell num yummy this morning! Those Cracker Barrel kittehs have been busy!

Good luck on that performance appraisal, MC. In my book, you deserve the highest rating after the year you've had!

  5. Good morning! Biscuits and gravy for me and send over a little marmie with orange juice.
MC, I'll be thinking of you at 8:00. You have really shown how strong you are and what perserverence(sp) you have after going through such a year as you have. You are one tough lady (and I mean that in the kindest way)!

  6. MC, fingers and toes crossed for ya :)

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  7. AZ thanks again for the reference. MC fingers crossed for a great review. I'll take gravy biscuits and a large OJ please.

  8. Ooh, biscuits and gravy (drools). I had that for the first time last summer at Bob Evans. Tasty and filling, and their gravy had lots of sausage in it too. But oh the calories...might as well just lather my butt with that gravy (lol), but gee... life is here so we can enjoy these things that aren't always the best for us.

Nothing in Moderation except Moderation itself!

We're due for anywhere from 1-10" of lake effect snow today. On top of the 7" Kalamazoo got on Monday. Ugh, I'm tired of winter!

Posted 1 year ago by Siobhan #

  9. I sympathize with you, Siobhan. We're having our first week without any snow in the forecast since the end of December. Of course, the temps have dropped to single digits. Sigh, can't seem to get through this winter.

  10. Siobham, calories are needed to keep bodies warm during snow. Enjoy your biscuits.

  11. Morning All! I like the way you think, DragonWing :)) MC, it is 7:30 here and I am thinking of you, 30 minutes before your performance appraisal! I KNOW you will do great!!!!! We had some snow last night, it looks like it will be sunny today, but cold...18 right now. Aren't we all so sick of winter??!! Wishing everyone a nice Wednesday!

  13. Hi everyone! I would like the company of an agency kitteh or two while I sip on hot choc by the fire. Then I'll be ready to take on the day!

  14. It does not compare but would you believe we are getting flurries here in Austell again this morning... It is about 35 so nothing will stick but...

  15. Good morning everyone! Good luck with your performance review, MC. Try not to stress too much (I know, easy to say, hard to do).

It's rainy and gross again here today, supposed to turn to snow and really nasty later. I'm with Katt, I'm sick of winter.

I think it's safe for me to say that my head really and truly has stopped hurting, yay! Whenever it stops after hurting for a long time, I have a hard time believing it's really gone. Now to get back to all the things I couldn't make myself give a hooey about for the last 3 weeks, like the swimming pool.

  16. There is no sight cuter than a dreamsicle kitten in a waiter's apron, and one of them just brought me a lovely sausage biscuit and a huge cup of coffee.

Don't worry, MC, you'll do fine. And I am praying for you, if that's any help!

  19. Morning all - Wednesday has been and gone here. Thank goodness - it was not a great day for my business trip. Donuts were a blessed relief at the end of the day although it was so hot getting home on the train the chocolate on the Bavarian had 'shared' itself with a couple of other donuts - not my lemon one!
Now we have a sunny day that started out with much needed rain. I am off to a protest at our Parliament grounds today to protest at the governments proposals to slash funding of our public radio service and its suggestions to commercialise it. Facebook has raised nearly 15,000 fans and there are protests taking part in the main cities today. We have to take a little radio along and tune it in to the National radio station.

  20. Today has not been a good one. It started with me dropping the nearside rear wheel down a pothole and shredding an almost new tyre, and it continued in that vein for the whole day. I'm about to get comfort food - a large bacon sandwich and a glass of something nice to go with it - possibly even a brandy!

    Posted 1 year ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  21. Sorry about your bad day PM - the bacon sandwich cure sounds perfect though! I hope Wednesday doesn't turn out to be a bad'un for other TDKers - especially MC with her performance appraisal.

  22. Feel better now, 4 rashers of bacon and a glass of brandy later...............

    Posted 1 year ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  23. That would do it, PM :)

Posted 1 year ago by Kilroy #

  24. Guaranteed, every time!

    Posted 1 year ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  25. Sorry you had a bad day PM. I have read about the potholes left after the heavy snows. My nieces experienced it recently while over in the UK. Thankfully they didn't have any wrecked tyres. Have you seen this machine? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/8529964.stm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/8459005.stm I believe they found #4 photo pothole.
Mmmmmmmm bacon and brandy. That'll make anyone feel better.

  26. Well, it is still snowing in M'waukee so I am going home to my shovel!(No socializing as a gym rat tonite!) But, perhaps I will toast ol' man winter's good riddence with a glass of bubbly later! Have a great rest of the day/nite wherever you roam!

  27. I survived the yearly appraisal. It wasn't so great, but it was what I expected. I had such a bad year and didn't meet my goals both professionally and financially for the department. I said that I knew that was coming and on my self evaluation had that already written down. My boss did say that I was very hard on myself and scored myself way too low. I do now have a huge weight on my shoulders because I really have to get it together and make some change this year. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, I could feel you there in the room with me. Wonder if KK has a lemon donut left over????

    Posted 1 year ago by mollycat71 #

  28. I'm sure we can find you a lemon donut, Amy! Glad the review wasn't too bad. You have had a rough year and I pray this is a better one for you all around. You know you have that TDK prayer posse and the TDK comfort blanket. Embrace it all!

Posted 1 year ago by Jetta and Boo Boo's Mom #

  29. MC, you are being WAYYYY too hard on yourself. You had two major brain surgeries this year, for goodness sake! (Oops, I guess you know that!) Your major goal for this year, professionally and every other way, is GETTING BETTER.

I know work is important but I also know they struggle like crazy when you're not there (witness your boss leaving that great big mess for you after surgery). You have overcome so much this year; that you managed to keep your department running as well is a major, MAJOR achievement. I think you deserve a pat on the back, a bottle of champagne and a whole basket of chocolate fish! Or lemon doughnuts, whatever you prefer :)

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  30. I haven't eaten my lemon donut yet, MC! There must have been a reason for that - it's coming through the wormhole to you now. :-)
