  1. I am sure some of you are familiar with the great work Linda does with CFA Purebred Rescue. We/they have an emergency. They need two people to volunteer to provide transport for 4 Persians as described below. The two transport legs needed are from South Hill, VA to Durham, NC and from Anderson,SC to Commerce, GA. This transport is this Saturday the 27th. I would help but I am burying my father that day. If you know anybody in the area please pass this along to them. All the necessary contact info is in the following email.

THIS IS A CRITICAL SITUATION! WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME! I WILL HAVE TO CANCEL THIS TRANSPORT IF WE DON'T FILL BY NOON ON FRIDAY!

**We will be happy to reimburse gasoline costs for all transporters doing more than one leg**

    JUST TWO LEGS STILL NEEDED:
Leg 3: South Hill VA, to Durham, NC 72 miles / 1 hr 15 mins Start Time 9:45 AM - NEED
Leg 8: Anderson to Commerce, GA 60 miles / 1 hr Start Time: 5:15 PM - NEED!

**See more info and times and proposed legs of this transport below this message**

If you can help, please contact me directly by calling me TOLL FREE at 888-303-9454 OR by changing the subject line of this message to: "EMERGENCY TRANSPORT VA/GA" and replying privately (REMOVE LIST HEADERS) to send me an email stating which leg you can do, your name, your phone numbers, vehicle description(color, make, model) and license plate. I don't want to miss an offer!

If you cannot transport, PLEASE help by telling others about this plea to help us find transporters!

    THANK YOU FOR CARING!

    Linda

REASON FOR TRANSPORT: Shelter to vet to Rescue: We have been informed of a significant situation in Newport News, VA. The shelter has little room and has already had to put one cat down, leaving 4 Persians. Our affiliates in the local area are full. We do have space in Atlanta for these Persians, but we need to get them there URGENTLY. We have been told we MUST have them out ASAP and that three or four more are coming in, which we will try to add to this transport, if possible! So, it is possible we will be transporting up to 8 cats in carriers!

  2. I can't help being in AZ, but wouldn't the truckdrivers (and I can't remember the name of the group) who transport cats/dogs across country be able to help?

  3. Thanks AZDEB, I remember hearing about the truckers. If you, or anyone, know how to reach them , feel free to pass this along.

  4. I know its Rodger or Roger something, I would look right now but its picking up here @ w*** and lots of peeps around so not a good time. Hope that you are doing well and have a good day :)

  5. Thank you AZ. I'll get in touch with them.

  6. I only wish I could help. I couldn't be any further from them to do so than California. An hour or so of driving is so small a sacrifice to save thes kitties. I hope that they can find the help to finish their journey. Maybe the ones doing the leg before could drive that extra hour. I know...alot to ask. I just feel so helpless.

  8. Best of luck getting the Persians to their destination Paul! God Bless you for helping. I'm hoping that Operation Roger that Azdeb suggested can answer our prayers for you. They seem to have been a God Send for many. =)

  10. Thank you Buttercup. Pop was #3 of my family to cross over in slightly less than a year. It should be over with for a long while now.
I contacted operation roger and left them the info. I have not heard anything from Linda since I posted. It is a pretty easy thing to do and sure makes you feel good.
