  1. I am leading my first food and wine pairing luncheon in San Francisco at Cellar 360 today. The group will be 20 international women, wives of Fortune 500 CEOs. I am going to wear my bright red dress (it is raining) with green scarf and a brilliant red and gold Selini brooch.

I am so excited. I dreamed I led the dinner blind as I got to work late and had not time to taste the wine and food together :)

Wine jobs may not pay much, but they do bring a lot of pleasure.

Cato is not amused as he only had a teaspoon of food this morning. He's on a diet!

  3. Sounds like a wonderful day Liz! With all the rain...please drive carefully and Shady says have a heart...2 tsp. will still do the trick! =)

  4. The day was great. The food and wine were perfectly paired (thanks to our sommelier --wine professional) and the women were a lot of fun. All I had to do is remember to describe the wines (easy) and think about how the food was prepared to talk about the pairings. We had several food experts in the group of women and I managed to bluff my way through some technical questions. :) Elizabeth

  6. Hahaha...sounds like you really pulled it off Liz! Being an international group of women can you tell us what some of the Nationalities of the women were? No doubt it was a colorful group and a yummy wine tasting to say the least. How was the weather in San Fran yesterday? =)

  7. I wish I could go to something like that some day. It really sounds fun as well as DElish! I love to buy different wines to go with particular foods when I cook. I have grown especially fond of wines to have with dessert.
