I've had my kitten a full week now, he is about 2 weeks old and has opened his eyes 3 days ago. I took him to the vet and was told he seemed healthy, no cleft palate, etc. They then helped me get the right size hole in the baby bottle to feed him and he started drinking a lot and even went poo the very next day! (He hadn't before that). It was a good consistency and the right color, but that was the only time he went! :(
It is now on day 4 since his first and only poo. He pees well, and I stimulate him with a warm, wet washcloth every time after he eats. I called the vet and they said he would be stimulated by the vet and then maybe have some KY put on his butt, but I can do that myself so I don't know if I should bring him in....He's drank KMR kitten formula milk and half goats milk/half water, but is now on the KRM powder formula. Also, his "meow" has become sort of scratchy sounding - is he sick? What's wrong?! I'm so worried!
