Sunday NS, Almost March!

(48 posts)
  1. Oh no! There is no NS! Kittehs are running around setting up. Very basic fare tonight, order what you want and they will make it. Drinks are readily available as are kits for snuggles!

  2. Hi MC. Boy do I hate it when Mr. K is out of town, I'm all at loose ends. On the bright side, George is being snuggly and slept on the bed with me last night.

  3. Hi Kilroy! Glad Georgie is taking care of meowmy!

  4. Well, right now he's sleeping (surprise!) :)

Please give me a kick in the butt; I have the day off tomorrow and reserved a lane at the pool for a swim in the morning, but I *really* don't want to go.

  5. Kilroy, you need to go, its good for you! What would Mr. K say if he knew you skipped? You should go for both of us. I think I am taking my throbbing head to bed. Sleep tight and snuggle on Georgie tonight! Hey, its two weeks to the date til my birthday!

  6. Hi MC and Kilroy..I am about to go to bed. Maddie and Abbie are just not staying asleep tonight. The last hour I have been up with Abbie 5x, I think she can't breathe well since she has that croup/cold and so it woke her up..I rocked her, walked her, gave her some Tylenol(she's teething too) and then finally when I was up there the last time, Maddie woke up since she had to go to the bathroom, so Wayne took care of her. I think Abbers fell back asleep now, Maddie is having conversations with her babies in her bed right now.
I am taking both of them to the dr tomorrow. they both were going for their 2nd H1N1 shot but since they are not better with the Croup, I am making a full on Dr appt not just a nurses visit.
Had to go get a TV today, our main one is going...white screen and the like...so we gave in and we had to buy a small 26 inch due to cost and space. So we have flat screen, it's cool but have to get used to it. . It's on a base and it's in our entertainment center.
Kilroy, I forgot Mr. K is gone, but he will be home soon now. Georgie loves his meowmy!!!

  7. Night MC...I am right behind you on the bed issue. Get some rest and I hope you feel better!
night everyone. Catch you in the morning :)

  8. Evening all. I have been in and out all day. If I could actually sleep it would be great. I just can't breathe--think I know how Abbie feels! I did get a mountain of pillows so I could get myself propped up. Miserable. I would call in tomorrow, but no sick days. I also have class tomorrow night. Did I mention miserable?

  9. My goodness--so many sick TDKers! Sending the TDK white light in all directions to boost immune systems and easy pain.

Do you get any floating paid leave day, SM? Tomorrow would be a good day to take it if you do.

  10. Because of the forced leave with the surgery I have nothing until next school year. I think it is just a cold. I have a low immune system and haven't been able to shake the slightest thing since the surgery. I have been using Airborne though, and I am hoping that has helped. My last blood tests still show large deficiencies.

I haven't been able to chat with you in awhile! How has hula class been going? Have you been really busy--our dockets in town are always full.

  12. I have been busy, SM! Hula class is a bright spot in my week. Good thing it falls on Monday evenings! We have a luau/hula show this Saturday and are expecting 275 people. We are doing the food AND the show. It should be fun. :)

  13. Oh that sounds like fun. The colors that are used to decorate a luau are so happy. You need to post a picture or two!! The food--well I am certain that will be excellent too!

  14. I will try to get some photos up after the luau, SM. :)
How is that fantastic daughter of yours doing?

  15. Evening, all - and I'm so sorry that many of you are under the weather.

We watched the closing ceremonies (a bit strange, don't you think?) and I am sad to see the Olympics end. For 17 days I always have the hope that we can all get along. Then *poof* the flame goes out.

Kilroy, if you are still here.... go and keep your lane reservation. You will feel so good if you go and swim when you really felt that you didn't want to. It will be a feeling of accomplishment. If you don't go, it will be a feeling of disappointment and failure. Take the higher road!

Goodnight, All. I'm off to read a bit.

  16. Goodnight, WWM. Sweet dreams!

  17. Homework blues!! She decided to have a heavy schedule for the end of her senior year--crazy kid! I am off to slumber land. Night Quil is doing its job!

Good Night and Peace to All.

  18. Goodnight, SM. Nice chatting with you. :D

I'm off for the evening too. Wishing all a very good week!

  19. Peeks in and hears nothing but soft snoring sounds and tails swishing in the darkness of the NS. Reading the back threads and w***ing when required so lurking at times.

  20. Evening Night Shifters, here for a short time and reading back posts.

  21. Hey there :)

  22. Evening Deb. Back at the coal face I see. How are your allergies this evening?

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. Allergies kicking my behind, oh well what's new with that lol! how are you today?

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. I still have a fritzy tum today but not too bad. Airy rang us this evening, it was great to hear her voice again instead of just typing messages. She and J-man and a uni friend from NZ went away for the weekend and walked for miles sightseeing. They were tired but happy and resting their feet before heading off to a Salsa dancing class.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. Fritzing stomach here too, crackers and tea have been my savior today. I bet it is good to hear her voice, typing messages is good but hearing them is even better. Salsa dancing sounds like fun, wish I had that energy after miles of sightseeing lol!

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. Oh to be half the age we are, we too would walk miles and then Salsa dance. I've walked 2.5km(1.5miles) tonight. I think I should increase that.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  27. Evening MS and Deb, why don't we drop the walking and start the salsa dancing instead?

I love dancing! I would take classes if there were a class/gym closer to me than Masterton...

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  28. Thats about how far I have been walking too (1.5 miles) and need to increase it. I love dancing, it doesn't love me though...seems I have 3 left feet vs 1 left and 1 right, lol! Always wanted to learn ballroom dancing, thought it was nice to watch the dancers appear to be floating across the floor.

Posted 1 year ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  29. Evening Jcat, I think we need the walking for a while to get us fit enough to dance without pulling a muscle. How was your day?

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  30. Good, thanks MS, productive, got most of my work off AND managed to get my walk in. Not sure how far it is I walk but it takes about an hour.

My mum goes to folkdancing each week. I'm not very good at that but I like the Greek dances :) And we had a tango lesson once, that was cool!

My mum's visiting this weekend, we will have a nice time checking out the boutiques, bistros and antique shops but I have to tidy the house -- eek, not sure how I'm going to do it in a week, it is such chaos... ;-)
