  1. Good morning, everyone!

Busy day/week ahead so lots of healthy stuff on the menu today. Tons of fresh fruit, lots of whole grain items, eggs (so good for you!), juices and plenty of good teas. Of ocurse, we do have to have the not so good for you stuff, so donuts (plenty of lemon), sausages, bacon and more bacon, fluffy biscuits and coffee and cocoa. The kits have their aprons on, grills and juicers fired up and ready to serve you. Come on in and grab what suits you and say good morning. I'm off to shower and will check in later. Have a great day everyone!

  4. Good morning! I could use a fresh fruit cup this morning. Our temps are finally climbing to normal for this time of the year. And my kitties have been so loving lately. (What do you think they're up to?!)

  5. Fresh fruit on it's way LK! As for the loving kitties... well, anyone's guess!

  6. Good morning. May I please have a big glass of oj and a kitten to cuddle?

Posted 1 year ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  7. Fresh squeezed OJ on it's way along with a nice buff kitty that was looking a little lonely...

Posted 1 year ago by Jetta and Boo Boo's Mom #

  8. Ahhh, 2 lonely souls make for good company - what a beautiful kitty. Thanks Lainey. Leela looked at me the same way as yesterday again as I left the house today. I could almost see her bottom lip quivering. "You're leaving? B-but we're playing!"

  9. I think you may have to retire, Joan :)

  10. Awwww... poor Leela! And poor meowmy! I hate leaving my girl when she looks that way. It's gonna be hard going back to work.

I had taken her to my dad's when I thought we were gonna get bad snow (thankfully we didn't) and she promptly thanked me when we got home by peeing on my nicest and newest overnight bag! Guess she told me!

  11. Off to start my day. Will check in later. Y'all have a good one :)

  12. Oh no, Lainey, sorry about the bag! Bobby peed on my tennis bag a few weeks ago. It was so bad I had to toss it out.
Have a good day, all. I'm out of here. My co-worker just got in to take over for me, so I can hopefully go rest for a few hours before I have to come back at 4:30.

  13. With the state of the State being what it is, I wish I could retire. Less than 2 years and I have 25 years in the pension system. I won't be of age, but I could go and do something else for a while. I would love to do something where I could bring my cat with me!

  14. Morning to Lainey, Deb, LK, Joan and GD! Oh that peeing thing with our furrballs! I still swear I smell something off when I sit in the chair by the bay window, where Mo peed when he was 'sick'....I've cleaned the area 3 times. Wishing everyone a good day!

  15. Won't even get into the 'p' word, Red decided he needed to spray the wall yesterday as I sat there.......ARGH he hasn't done that in months, guess he was showing me!

It is that time that I must run, the guys are changing shifts and they are ready to go do work since they are fresh with energy, too bad its the end of my shift!!! Hope that everyone has a great day....

  17. Acck! I forgot my lunch today, left it on the counter...DOH!

Yesterday I stayed home, we're re-indexing the library catalog and there's a virtual DO NOT USE banner across the monitor (lol). That means no work for Siobhan, since everything I do is in the library catalog...

And no work today or tomorrow....I wish I had unlimited annual leave.

And now the WHINE... I noticed my brakes were a bit iffy on Thursday, and on Friday they went out entirely. I could still stop, but I felt like Fred Flintstone: had my foot all the way to the floor on the brake pedal before I could stop.

So, on Monday we went to Lentz....$600 for front brakes and a new serpentine belt. If that belt breaks, my car doesn't move. Period. Plus there's about a thousand dollars of front end work to do (including power steering) and my engine is vibrating a lot when I get over 65mph, and I have a front headlamp out....(easy enough to fix that, I think..) Plus my ABS don't work anymore.

I guess I can do without ABS, I drove just fine in the times before anti-lock brakes. But still....crap! 2001 car, almost 85K on it.... now the big things start to go wrong, wear out, need replacing. Ugh.

  18. Hi, Everyone!!! Wait..... there's no one here! Where has everyone been lately???

My book group met today and so I'm getting a late start on the rest of my day.

Uh... peeing and spraying... Our kitty, Skimbleshanks, sprayed his whole life even though he had been to the spa. He sprayed one of our airline carry-on bags only we didn't realize that he had done that. One time we went on a flight with that bag and when Mr. WWM opened the overhead compartment at our destination, the fumes that came wafting out were enough to make your eyes water. It was sooooo embarrassing!

  19. Hi everyone. Brought yet more work home this evening. Sheeesh...

  20. Hi everyone! Busy, busy day. Lots of homework, class, bathed Taco and Feeny, need to run a few errands... at least it is nice outside. :)

LOL WWM that is too funny!! I can only imagine everyones faces

  21. I was tempted to leave the bag and pretend that I knew nothing! Only all of my "lotions and potions" were in there (this was in the day when you could actually take a deadly bottle of hand lotion on the plane) and I wasn't about to leave all of that. We decided to try and act nonchalant as though nothing at all was... um.... odoriferous!

  22. MCW, work is for work... not home!!!!!

Posted 1 year ago by WillowandWindismom #

  23. WWM - not when you have about 50 hours work to fit into a 32 hour week...

Posted 1 year ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  24. I had a friend whose cat had spraying issues when I was growing up and I felt so bad for her. For some reason the cat really always wanted to mark her wardrobe and in class she always reeked of cat pee.

Posted 1 year ago by gini #

  25. MCW you'll make yourself ill. Don't work too hard! *whistles and crosses fingers behind her back* After all I don't do 10 - 12 hours every day at school....

  26. Morning all! I've been suspicious that a cat is spraying in our house recently and I'm pretty sure it isn't Ringo or Dara. It might be a black cat from across the street as it comes into our yard - Dara chased it off yesterday morning - and it could easily come in through the cat door. At our last property we had a stray that would sneak in and spray in the kitchen. You would go in in the morning and have to look around for the tell-tale droplets or puddle. It sprayed on the coffee-maker once! The nerve of it! Eventually the neighbours adopted it, which I wasn't too pleased about, but it behaved itself then and we had no more problems.

  27. Pot, kettle, black PM!!!

At least I get to do some of it from home in my slippers :o)

Posted 1 year ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  28. Now Now, PM did have her *whistles and crosses fingers behind her back* ! Thank you both for making me laugh this morning, I can't seem to sleep right now but so tired my eyes are crossed.

  29. Hi KK. How are things in NZ? I was loking at prices for the rugby world cup - I'd love to go to NZ and watch rugby - but it's all too expensive. Even without accommodation, for flights and match tickets the RFU want to charge £3000+ per person. If you go for the package including really nice accommodation it goes up to £6000+ - and that's if you share a room!

  30. Ooops forgot to mention the marking brought home and the preparation work done at home. I never really count that.
