  1. OK, that's the exciting oven pizza scoffed, now I'd better get on.

    Back later!

  2. I think we are going to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate graduate school! It's a little bit late but we have both been so busy and had conflicting schedules up until now.

  3. I'm thinking I've done nothing about dinner, but I'm so tired I may just go to bed instead. Another early start tomorrow (8.00 am lesson - leave home at 6.55) an then Thursday it's off to Belgium for a conference- leaving the house at about 4.30 am. Get back Sunday night then it's a First Aid at Work course for 3 days Monday - Wednesday inclusive. So tomorrow I have to set work for all my classes for 5 days. Gulp!

  6. Good morning/afternoon/evening. Just starting out the day here and getting things done around the house. Had a game of hide and seek outside with Shadz as I was watering the garden. She loves to hide behind shrubs and leap out at me as I pass by. She forgot I had the hose in my hand and was surprised when I squirted her. She loves water though. Another lovely sunny day here, forecast showers must have passed over during the night.
PM, good luck with your very busy week or two.
Gini, enjoy your celebration dinner tonight.

  7. MS, hello/g'night before I am off to try this nap thing again. Glad that Shadz is in a playful mood this morning, hope that it remains a lovely sunny day so you can enjoy your garden.

  8. It's been very cold here all day. Well cold by UK standards anyway. It was -4C when I left for work this morning. It warmed up during the day but by the time I went home it was 0C again. I'm cold!

  9. Hi Deb, sweet dreams after a long night. Shadz is now off mousing, she isn't very keen on the new meat I bought, I thought she would enjoy venison.
PM, brrrrrrrrr, that is cold. Probably a bit colder than I get in my city in the depths of winter and we don't get snow either. It also reminds me that Autumn has arrived here and Winter is on it's way.

  10. PM, ouch that is a bit chilly. Have a good trip to Belgium and enjoy yourself.

MS, Let's hope that you get an Autumn this year and that Winter is happy with watching from afar instead of up close and personal.

  11. PM - we'd love you to come over for the Rugby World Cup. I must confess that at this point in time I don't give a rat's a$$ for rugby. Wellington, where I work and 'live' has a football (soccer) team that plays in a Australian league and we are all converting to being football fans. Interest in rugby is waning here at the moment but its early days in the current season so I expect it will pick up but its interesting to note how many people say that the atmosphere at the soccer games is so much better than at the rugby games!

  13. Hello! Today I had aquafit. Love it! I am going to try to get to the eliptical machine before swimming. I love having a gym membership.

    Hope people's days are good!

  14. Gyms are good, aren't they? Thanks for reminding me, Chey, I need to call and reserve a lane at the pool for one day this week. Now that I have nose clips, I'm hoping half the pool won't end up up my nose :)

  17. Ten more minutes until I can head home & see how much trouble George has managed to get into being at home alone all day (who am I kidding? He probably slept all day).

Spare me a kind thought tomorrow, it's annual performance review time :P

  18. You're FABULOUS Kilroy! How could they not give you a stellar review!

  19. Oh Kilroy, I FEEL your pain! As you know mine was last week and was lukewarm!

  20. I'm not really worrying, these things always go about the same; my boss explains how the average raise for our department has to work out to 4% and I'm getting more than that so someone's getting less. I've taken on a lot of new responsibilities in the past year, one of which actually generates measurable revenue for the company (it's rare in a library to be able to quantify one's contributions), so it's not like their going to say I'm doing a bad job.

I got home to find that all was well, no George-generated disasters :0 I'm discovering yet again that left to my own devices I a. eat lots of c**p and b. don't sleep very well. Can't wait for Mr. K to get home.

Funny thing at work today - last week I participated in an online training seminar about a new statistics program that headquarters said we had access to, and just for participating I got a $25 Starbucks gift card. Now it turns out we don't have access to the product (which stinks because it was awesome), and I feel like I got the gift card under false pretenses. Maybe I should make a coffee run for the whole library?
