    Hello everyone!
I need your help!!!!! I am attempting to relocate 11 cats from a feral colony in Newark and desperately need to find homes for them. Please send this to people on your list.....I NEED HELP!!!!!!!
Here is the scoop on them......

About 1 year ago, I was approached by a very nice older man that was trying to help his ex-wife spay and neuter her feral colony of 20 cats. Before I was contacted he had trapped 6 of them and took them to the Licking County Shelter so they could be adopted.....Well, unfortunately they were gassed as all ferals are there. As he was taking the 7th cat, he was stopped at the shelter by a rescue group who explained what happens to ferals there.....needless to say this nice man who thought he was doing right by the cats was mortified. Soooo, that is when I got involved along with another cat friend. All but two were able to be trapped and spayed and neutered and returned to the colony. Two more were socialized and are now inside kitties.
Now the house has been foreclosed on and the woman living there has been moved out. A caretaker has been arranged to give them food and water, but their time is limited as the bank will be taking possession in less than 30 days. I need mulitple homes for these cats.......if you or someone you know can take 1 cat or more I would deeply appreciate it as there has been an enormous amount of time put into this colony already. I do not expect one person to take all of them......at this point, their lives just need to be saved and so any number of them a person is willing to take on is going to help!!!!

    What I can do:
Trap cats and and arrange their drop-off
Get the other two cats s/n

What I need from the caretaker (receiver of cat(s)):
Be willing and able to keep the cat(s) confined for up to three weeks to acclimate them to their surroundings. For this you must have an indoor enclosure in a barn or outbuilding.

Be their caretaker and provide shelter, food and water (I have a number of plans for building winter shelters)

If you can't take the cats but still want to help.....I would love to borrow additional traps, pens for their acclimation and would of course love to have donations of cat food to get the caretaker started.

I'm not one for begging........But I'm begging now...Please help me save these wonderful babies, they deserve to have a safe place to live.
    THANK YOU!!!!! Please cross post!!!
