I am going to lounge on the sofa in front of the TDK fireplace. I would like some deep dish pizza dripping with cheese, some potato skins with bacon, and a hot cocoa. some purry furries would be nice too, along with a soft blanket and a good book...thank you...

Hi Merd & Cheri! I was just playing with Leela's favorite wand, what's left of it. Hey Cheri, I doubled the order of potato skins with bacon; sounded so good I want some!

Evening all - its 4pm Saturday here. Have done the laundry and grocery shopping. Just been our version of eBay looking for a fascinator for the wedding. MiniKK talked me out of a hat as with my hair freshly 'enhanced' I may end up looking like those current images of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter!!! So I have a couple of fascinators on my 'watchlist'. Today is also one year since I got Ringo!!! He is currently lying outside on the barbeque soaking up the sun minus his collar which he has again lost!

BTW - the barbeque is NOT on!

Hi MerD - it is quiet here tonight. The other Kiwis are probably enjoying the sunshine - MS will be doing something wedding related and Jcat may be in her garden. I spy a lot of US TDKers over on Facebook!

LOL KK, (BBQ Ringo!)..... Hi MerD!.... I agree, this is a quiet Friday NS!!!....
... I hope you, KK and MS find the perfect fascinators for the wedding!... so different than here in Fla..... we NEVER wear hats, all bare-headed!..... even for very formal weddings that require black tie!..... LOL different cultures! -
MerD - how was your white chicken chili? I want the exact recipe from you! Although I don't think I can get chipotle here - certainly not in our supermarkets but I may be able to from a specialty food place.

I agree, AV! I grew up in Alabama, and never saw a hat on any woman's head! And as for a fascinator, I had no idea what one was until I started associating with UK and Aussie and NZ people on line! :D

Hey everyone!
AV, I totally understand; Leela demands "mommy & me time" as soon as I get home! At this time of evening she just whines when I pick her up.
Hi Kiwis! I don't get to see you often! Glad you are enjoying the nice day. It is supposed to get a bit warmer here, perhaps enough to melt some of the close to 4 feet of snow!Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

A healthy twist on a spicy classic, this terrific dish tastes even better the next day.
Tip: Chipotle peppers are jalapeños that have been dried and smoked. They come canned, packed in adobo (a tomato-based sauce); you can find them in the Latin or ethnic foods aisle of your market. Beware: Unless you like your chili super-hot, remove the seeds before adding peppers. Serves 6
Ingredients
1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (1 ¾ lb), cut into 1-inch chunks
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
Salt and black pepper
3 cans (14.5-oz size) white kidney or cannellini beans, drained (save ½ cup draining liquid) and rinsed
2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth, divided
1 tsp canned chipotle chili, seeded and minced
½ cup nonfat half-and-half
Garnishes: Shredded reduced-fat Monterey Jack cheese, chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Instructions
1. Warm oil in large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook 4 minutes, stirring. Push onion mixture to one side; add chicken to skillet; sprinkle mixture with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook 5 minutes, stirring.
2. Increase heat to medium-high. Add 2 cans of the beans and draining liquid, 1 ¼ cups broth, and chipotle; bring to a simmer. Cook 10 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
3. Meanwhile, combine remaining 1 can beans and ¾ cup broth in bowl of food processor. Puree until smooth. Add to soup in pot, along with half-and-half. Simmer a few minutes, stirring, until warmed through and flavors incorporated. Serve hot; garnish with cheese and cilantro.

...Merd, Bella, I googled Fascinator, and it's a beautiful hair piece/almost hat type of thing... very dressy and much in fashion in different countries - i.e. NZ, Austrailia, England, etc... though we don't typically wear them here in the US, they are very big in the UK, Europe, and with our down under friends!.....
they are absolutely georgous! and I would love to wear one some day!

Thanks MerD for the recipe! I think I saw a chipotle sauce recently in our supermarket so I could always use that as its just a small amount in the recipe.
And for those who are my FB friends you can look at my profile pic to judge what my hair is like for sticking a fascinator on!
