  1. It's almost 40 here too!! yay for sun and a little warmth.
Gini, how fun. I am so jealous of Kilroy, getting to meet the boys!! Glad you can watch George too, that is nice to have someone you trust take care of your baby.

  4. Good morning, all! I'm working Saturday mornings until the end of tax season and today is a little slow. I watch parts of the Oscars. I, too, am only interested in the main winners.
Supposed to rain today, so maybe my car will get some washing off. It is really dirty from the roads.
Have to stop at Petsmart and get my babies their food, treats, and litter. They will be happy to see me home as much as I will be to be home.

  5. ((LK))) Glad when tax season will be over, as I am sure you will too. Try not to work too hard:)
My car is filthy with all the salt, mud, dirt...I need to get it washed too but have to wait till payday :(

  6. Lucky for me I had a "free" carwash from a patient. He and his family own a carwash and were handing out free carwashes to the people who took care of the patriarch who started the whole business. I had just enough $$$ to get me and the girls enough food to get thru til Monday which is payday. But you know, kittehs gotta eat! Have fun at the rodeo HM, wish I could go too!

  7. Thanks CM :) Hopefully the boys won't be nuts when she's here. They're always either passed out and full of purrs or running around the house like madmen chasing each other and running from the humans. We'll see!! I am excited to George sit again, too

  8. Sounds like a fun day Gini.
I've had Chicago rolling around my head too! That rodeo sounds like fun!
    Hi LK!

  9. Ok, place is vacuumed, even by the woodburner, which gets so littered with wood and ashes. Laundry is tumbling around. MIL's b-day present is wrapped and ready to go. I even put a bow on the bottle of wine! I hope I'm not the only one around here who has an overwhelming amount of bows! I really need to sort thru the gift-wrap box. I'm going to have a glass of something, go outside and get some vitamin D on my face. It's a beautiful day - mid 40's, yeah)!

  10. OH Joan! I have TONS of bows, but they have a very short life span if the girls get ahold of them. I know, its 35 outside now and I am waiting for a little later in the after noon. If it goes up to around 40-45, I might be able to pry my Christmas lights down off the house and my lightpost. They have been frozen solid since about November! Enjoy MIL's bday, does sound found. Pets to Miss Leela!

  11. Ok, it's settled - I'm sending you all my bows! Scritches to Betty and Wilma (who shares the birthday girl: MIL's name)! That sun feels so good on my face; it's literally been months!
Hope you can get those lights down. We just had something on the door and a sled with a big red bow on it in front of the house so not much undecorating to do outside this year.

  12. I was lucky, after my second brain surgery my sister volunteered to decorate for Christmas. I showed her the storage shed keys and told her to do what she wanted. She went a little overboard but I must admit, it looked good. Now if she would only come and take it down!

  13. Kilroy just left. The boys were a bit shy today but they loved her :) Now time for a late lunch and then heading to my friend's house a little bit later. Hmm, what to cook?

Posted 2 years ago by gini #

  14. Taco cannot stop sniffing where Kilroy's coat was and now he's kneading the couch on the spot where it was sitting. Awwww

Posted 2 years ago by gini #

  15. Taco is soooo beautiful, and the softest cat I've ever petted. Feeny is equally beautiful. I feel very lucky to have met them. Thanks again, Gini, for cat sitting. George is very excited.

  16. ... I'm sitting here reading receipies...... I think I'll make black bean cakes with fresh salsa and lime creme for dinner! Finish with a nice salad, and I'm good to go! Didn't have to spend my day cleaning today (thanks Mr. AV!), only had to change the boxes!!!!.... now I can spend the rest of my afternoon reading, I've got a good series of books I'm into right now!

  17. I'm having this crisis where I can't decide what to eat. I'm so hungry that nothing is sounding good. Does that ever happen to anyone? As soon as I just about decide on something it just doesn't sound good anymore. Boo.

Kilroy I'm glad you got to meet the boys and I'm very excited to see George again soon

  18. Wow, they had lots of cute stuff on sale at Kohl's. But even better, Dillard's had tons of cute tops on sale for 70% off!!! And I got a $60 pair of shoes at Dillard's for $17. *sniff* I just adore that "SALE" sign......

  19. Wow, sounds like you hit the jackpot WWM!..... I haven't been shopping in FOREVER!.... actually, since my big spree when I started my new job last Sept...... after 25 years of working from home, I had no proper business clothes!..... finally, after due diligence, I found that I could buy nice business clothes in my strange sizes at Express and Banana (ick) Republic.... they had pants small enough (and long enough), and jackets that you could buy in a different size, and the nicest no iron cotten/blend shirts!.... they literally come out of the dryer, and I just hang them up and they are perfect!.....same with their pants, I love them!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  20. Somehow it seems like justice that you buy clothes at Banana Republic :-)

  21. .... well....well.... at least FLA. seagulls aren't thiefs!

and by the way, my favorite restaurant here is "the SALT rock grille"....

.....*whips* up a big batch of extra salty popcorn and flings it thru the wormhole to Texas......

.. oh, and I just spoke with Hazel, she was headed your way, but I told her you'd rather do it yourself, and to just come to Fla.

  22. Pops into the cafe and backs out hurriedly. Picks popcorn out of hair and salt from eyes.
    LADIES, ladies! !
    :-)

  23. Hi all, sunny pleasant day here. I went to a women's fellowship breakfast at church ran some errands and now I'm trying to talk myself into doing a little much needed housew**k. Speaking of Christmas decorations I need to get my cards down but I do enjoy them. Both last year and this year they helped me get through two really difficult Christmases.

  24. *hangs head in shame*......... SHE started it!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  25. ACK!!!! I thought that it had begun to snow here and then I realized that it is SALT!!!!!

That's so cute that you have your cards up, CTR!

  26. I think cute is a word used to describe OLD people, WWM. My skittish outdoor kitty was on the step talking to Sophie earlier, today. When I went to the door to invite her in she vanished.

  27. AV,WWM. You should both spend the next 5 minutes(if I did what the Super Nanny suggests and a mintue for every year of age you'd only just be back in time for the Night Shift, LOL)thinking about your actions, name calling and throwing popcorn. ! ! !

  28. all in good fun MS, all in good fun....

.. hey wait a minute!...... are you saying we're old????!!!?????.......

    ........LOL..........

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  29. WWM said I was cute. (OLD) I had a neighbor girl way when I set out to walk my dog (an older gentleman) we were so cute. That was about ten years ago. :(

  30. MS looks skyward, whistles and rolls her eyes.
