Hi CTR, cute can also be sweet. I'm sure that was what WWM meant. LOL
I had my TDK cards up for ages too.

...well, I can't take offense from someone that was born the exact same year as me!!!! LOL
....did you ever find the right fascinator for the wedding?
... and CTR, I too have my cards from years back!.... I just can't bring myself to throw them away!... they always make me smile
-
I hope you are right, MS. My aunt used to describe my grandfather as "so cute" and he lived to be over 100. For some reason I have this association in my head. The TDK cards do brighten my day

Funny you should ask AV. I was trolling through some online stores last night and one just caught my eye. I kept on coming back to it every now and then and checked it out again this morning. Airy has ordered it for me.

I've kept mine, too, AV. Who can through out all those adorable kittys?

I checked out the fascinators after checking last night's shift. They are pretty. I have seen some girls at the University wearing something like that--big flowers mostly. Maybe they will catch on here

Good for Airy!..... she's like my Jill.... pushes me to make the decision, she knows I want!.......
.... ooohhhhh, it's lovely!
CTR, Mr. AV and I always laugh - we still treat each other like we're 20/something...... he can't seem to remember that our children are now 20/somethings..... LOL

Cute = Old???? ACK!!! Another word that I have to strike from my vocabulary!

CTR, KK, my SIL and I are just having a bit of fun with the fascinators. The posh ladies wear them to the horse races etc and we just thought we can be posh too. We have the occasion to do it with so why not.
Hey, I also have all the TDK cards for the last three years. They are just way to beautiful and precious to discard.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Actually, I saved my cards, too.
Uh.... what is a fascinator?

this is the site I got when I googled them, WWM!........ they are hairpieces/not quite hats, but "finish" a formal outfit!... I think they're lovely!

These are fascinators. You often see the younger members of the royal family wearing them.
I love this one but it doesn't come in the colour I want. boo hoo http://www.trademe.co.nz/Clothing/Womenswear/Accessories/Hats-caps/auction-274511242.htmPosted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Oh..well... we don't wear no stinkin' feathers in Texas. Unless they are buzzard, of course.

ROTFLMAO at AV. I'd have the fruit flied buzzing around me AV. Thank you for the offer but I think I'll have to graciously decline your ever so kind offer.(phew!)

I can see Maude, one of my little girl turtles now, wearing that fascinator made out of some of her favorite foods!

Uh, y'all - I have a problem. There are two adorable little five year old girls on our street who have become inseparable. But for some reason they come to our house every evening - almost like I'm supposed to go out and play! They are out there now ringing the doorbell and what am I doing? Hiding in my little office like the coward that I am!

Shhhhhhhhhhh, don't giggle so loudly WWM. Ohhhhhhhh that is sweet, they think of you as young enough to be a friend. You could make them some friendship bracelets and then you could all have fun skipping rope on the pavement outside.

Interesting story, they somehow never talk about the military dogs that just aren't cut out for some of their duties. May they realize this and send this one and others like him back to do other work.
Love hearing about the fascinators!

I'd hide, too WWM. You can keep cute in your vocabulary maybe I'm a tad oversensitive. It is an overworked word by some members of my family. I'll try to remember no everyone is one of them. (thankfully :) )

As you can see WWM, fascinators can be a bit of fun and that's what we're intending to have with them. Meegz thinks it's a great idea. Airy has also organised the wedding photographer to take some special pictures of Mr MS and me in honour of our 30th wedding anniversary we had in January. She and Meegz have given us a lovely photo frame to put three pictures in.
I must go now, Mr MS needs help with something. See you on the Night Shift.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

... can't wait to see the wedding pics, MS!..... this is Mr. AV and my 25th anniversary year!..... don't know what we'll be doing yet, but will make it special somehow!..
.... CTR, WWM, and Deb, enjoyed the "fun poking" afternoon!... going down now to make my black bean cakes and fresh lime cream!..... see everyone on the NS!
-
I guess if you are all going to desert me I'd better go clean the kitchen *sigh* this is far more fun

Maybe the coast is clear for me to scurry to the kitchen and make some dinner. See y'all later!

You guys are tooooo funny! You made me smile reading back posts! I had really good veggie concoction from green giant for dinner. I know, I know, I could do it myself but it is so much easier to buy the little single boxes of veggie assortments and pop them in my microwave. (The joys of being single). I am not much of a veggie person (my colon is not forgiving) but I had the best combo of cauliflower, yellow carrots, cranberries and a glaze. It was only 50 calories! Yum!
