Come into the cafe to find kittehs snoozing all around. Gently wake the kittehs and we begin a beautiful spread. Homeade coffee cakes, breads, rolls and pasteries. There are even funnel cakes in honor of HM going to the rodeo yesterday. Eggs-scrambled, hard boiled, over easy, poached, omelets, any way you desire. Meats, ham, bacon, sausage, prime rib and shrimp on skewers. Yogurts, puddings, cheese/fruit tray, crackers and even some soups for the lunch crowd. There are cookies, cakes and other delicies at the noon lunch hour time. Please come join us, we are in the "green" today as the kittehs are putting up St. Pattys Day decorations.

Hi MC, Humphrey & SOM! Oooooh, St. Patty's Day decorations already, guess it IS getting to be that time! I am skipping breakfast today, stomach seems to be a bit off, even cut my workout time and that is something I won't do normally! I want to feel good enough to get to see my Granddaughter today!!!! Morning all!! Been around. Abbie got up at 6:30 which woke me up and I have been busy ever since...now she's napping and we are getting ready to go to my great-niece christening. Maddie is over grandma's so we have to go get her, get her dressed and go. I will take pics of my girls dressed up :)

Morning, All! Since the girls and I are home alone, we slept a bit later and then lingered over the newspaper scouring for those coupons. Dee is right - there were lots of them today. It is kind of gloomy here and overcast and feels like it could rain. Once again my plan was to work in the yard, but I might go up and sew instead.
Is everyone ready to see some beautiful, and some totally weird, gowns at the Oscars tonight?

WWM, they say the gowns are going to be "conservative" and less "flashy" because of the recession. I will see that when it happens. Yeah, they said it was gonna be 50F today and now they say we may get ICE instead of rain! ICE?!?!?!?!?

Wow, in today's Sunday Chicago Tribune there is a 32 page section on names of people the state of Illinois owes money. If you are on the list you can file and get that money. Unfortunately, my name wasn't on there. I was sure they owed me a million or so...... Maybe its a bookkeeping error and I wasn't put on the list! LOL

We have that insert every year in Texas, too. And every year I diligently look. I look under my maiden name, I look under my mom's maiden name, I look under my grandmother's maiden name. But it's never been there :-(

I'm doing well, MC. This has been a hula-intensive weekend. My halau (hula school) performed at a local restaurant on Friday, performed at a luau last night and are having a hula workshop this afternoon with a renowned Kumu hula, Uluwehi Gurrero. He is an award-winning singer and is a former student of my kumu, Pekelo Day.

I need to go practice (learn ?!?!) my hula. Was going to go look for a spanx-type garment... only much cheaper. However, since it's pouring rain, I guess I'll practice first and shop later. Practice today at 3... thankfully indoors!Have fun today KW!
OH! That first song on the medley is Na Ka Pueo ! I love that song, and know a hula to it. I'll be doing that one on the 27th of March at a horse rescue gig.
And wow --- a great demonstration of ipu, pu'ili and 'uli'uli ! -

Hi all!.... Went to a new restaurant after church today, and had a the BEST flatbread pizza - super super thin, crispy crust with chicken, cheese, sundried tomatoes and lots of fresh herbs..... Mr. AV and I split that, and a chopped salad..... made a nice lunch!.... beautiful day here, high 70 and sunny.... we sat outside on the patio, and loved it!
...... Tampa is having their big Gasparilla Art show this weekend, it's held downtown along the river front.... we went and walked around for a while, lots of fun stuff to look at......I think it might inspire me to get my brushes out again!
