The kittehs all have on their Oscar's finest. The girls are in dresses with bows in their fur, the boys are in their tuxes to serve you. The champagne is flowing freely, as are all "adult" drinks. Hi MC. I made baked beans and a whole wheat quick bread today that is quite tasty. I was going to offer some for night shift but I'm afraid it might not fit the ambiance. :)

I love free stuff. Have some bread and beans, MC. The bread recipe is fairly simple and tasty it just has to bake for an hour so can't be done on spur of the moment unless you have a long moment. :)

Evening all, hot as here today. I have been up at Mum's playing with Snuggles, she loves standing on plastic shopping bags to make them crinkly, also had her chasing a ping pong ball around.

.. awww Snuggles!.... an "old girl" reliving her youth!... sounds like she's a good fit for Mum!... so happy for them both!...
... got a call about 4pm from some friends today, they said "we just caught two huge, beautiful red-fish, are you up for a fresh fish dinner".... they live just across the bridge (over the bay) about 3 min. from us!.... so of course, Mr. AV and I said "YES!!!".. and we had a nice time!.... fish was excellent, I made my crunchy cole slaw and we made yellow rice & black beans as a side!... it was a good time, good friends, and a yummy dinner!

I can't sleep. Mike is out with the people from his work singing karaoke for a "team building activity". He has been out for a few hours now and it's after midnight and he doesn't want to come home even though he has to wake up and actually go to work in 4 hours from now. He says he's planning on coming home for 1:30 or 2... that makes 2 hours of sleep. He's going to be tired and complain all day. I wish he'd just come home but his decision I guess. I just want to curl up in bed and nod off but I have problems falling asleep in an empty bed. Grr

Gini, sorry that sucks Monkey Toes (thanks CM) but like you said its his decision. Wish that you could fall asleep and be all comfy thru the night, at least you would be fine for tomorrow. He might re-think that staying out late in the morning but then again he might not sadly.
Its raining still here, nothing hard but steady as it goes so everything is quite wet this evening. I am dressed and ready to begin my Tuesday, ok maybe not so ready to start yet another workday but someone has to do it. Sleep well to those in bed and wake rested, those whom are still awake, see you after the witching hour....ta ta and toodle lo!

Me too! I had to do some work today to pay for my frivolous weekend with my mum. It was lovely to have her here though. We had a lot of fun browsing in all the shops and eating French pastries in the cafes (oops, there goes the delumpifying regime. Looong walk needed today...)

I'm off to bed very shortly, Mr MS is off to the cricket one day match tomorrow and we have an early start to get his gear ready. I'll just watch the delayed telecast. He won't be home until the wee hours the next morning and his mates told me they would slow down a bit before they push him out the van door and give the horn a toot so I'll know they have made their delivery. It's so good having considerate friends.

I'm off to town tomorrow, to have lunch with an old friend who now lives on the mainland, she's in town for the festival. It will be lovely to see her. I hope the trains are running, that's all...
