I've been thinking about all things bacon. I like my bacon really, really crisp, almost burnt. I wonder how that would taste sprinkled over French vanilla ice cream?
How are you, Mollycat? Has the doctor given you any input about whether he can put a plate over the hole in your skull? Any word on the bump in your neck? And did you manage to wipe out the UTI? I worry a little about you everyday.

Evening all! think i will have a bacon baguette with brie cheese. mmmmmm.
I am so frazzled after today. Abbie just kept climbing up the stairs, which okay great, but I wasn't with her. Whenever I tried to go fix lunch, go to the bathroom or whatever, she ran up the stairs. She has no idea how to get down yet, we are trying to show her but I was constantly sprinting through the house to get her. So glad she is in bed!
Have to take her to the dr tomorrow to see if her wheezing has cleared up . I think it has. Both girls are good now.
Maddie is still up...Daddy let her stay up later and now, she is bouncing off the walls, we are waiting on her to go potty..then its so bedtime.
I wanted to say hi, good evening and good afternoon to our NZ friends before I disappear.
I am worried about SM too, I know she's not doing well health wise and I pray she is okay.Posted 1 year ago by cricketsmama #

I am ok, feel like I am working on a good old fashioned cold. My throat is really sore and WWM insisted on gargling on SALT water and aspirin. No plate for the head, bump is ok, lump in neck has to be needle aspirated to make sure it isn't anything disasterous like cancer, head caving in and my neck has a crick in it! Besides that, all things are good! How are you CBM?

Pretty good. My spouse was laid off and I'm on his insurance so I'm rushing from place to place getting every possible medical test I can done before my insurance goes away. Today I saw the GYN and had an ultrasound to see how the fibroids are doing. At least I only had to shave my legs once. Thursday I get a bone density test and a mammogram. Next week I get an MRI on my left hip and right knee and the week after that I get both feet operated on.
At least I'm getting out of the house ;)
We are getting our money's worth out of this insurance before it goes away.

Hi AV, kinda relaxed. Wilma is here snuggling with me. We were watching the news and going thru mail. Oh those crazy bills keep coming all month long! Bacon martini with extra salt thru the wormhole to Texas! CBM, you sure are busy getting a work up here and there. So sorry about hubby. Prayers he will find another job and SOON!

He's not going to look for one. He's over 65 so he'll get Medicare, Social Security and a small pension. We have been saving for retirement for years so there's extra money there. The only problem will be medical insurance for me. I get bumped up to the extreme high risk group because of the polio.
$1500 a month for insurance is more than we can afford so I'll get everything done I can before the insurance runs out and just keep my fingers crossed after that until I hit 65. Our primary care doctor is very understanding and willing to take what the insurance company used to pay so I'll be able to continue seeing her.
The worse part is that I have to start being truthful about my age.

Ah CBM, its ok. My mom is the same as you, her history of polio also limited her in her ability to get any insurance at a reasonable rate. She was up a creek without a paddle when dad died. Luckily she soon qualified for Medicare. You have an awesome doctor to work with you like that. I have been told that I will NEVER qualify for private insurance EVER. Two brain surgeries and I am out! I can only get insurance thru my job or a hubby (if I ever marry). I told FF, I need to marry him because as a FF he is guaranteed insurance coverage forever as he is vested and has been on the department for more than 15 years. Bad thing is the new guys on the department no longer get that benefit which really bites. But my FF is covered and has amazing benefits for life and can retire with full benefits, pay and a heck of a retirement in just 9 years. Whoo hoo! He asked me if that is all he is good for! LOL

I'm feeling ok--I think I'm just used to being in pain and try to pretend that I don't hurt. ;)
It was 75 today and sooooo pretty! Just in time for Spring break next week!Posted 1 year ago by FondaHonda #

Hi again all!... just had the BEST dinner with Daugher, who "flew" in between college Spring Break and taking Grandma to Valdosta for a visit!.. what a sweet kid!....
... made her fav baked ziti with ground chicken... she totally loved it, and now wants me to "write" her a cook book, as she'll have an apartment next year, and wants to eat "Mom's healthy meals"... LOL... it only took 19+ YEARS for her to appreciate/get an interest in that!... LOl... of course, I'll be tripping all over myself to do so, as the proud Mama, I'm always glad to pass on my "secrets"! LOL

Evening one and all :) Getting ready for that place once again and its going to be a long achy night if what I feel like right now is any indication, sigh. Figure that at least my left little finger doesn't hurt right now so I am good to go and can suck it up otherwise, lol. Hope that all those already in bed or headed there have a great night's sleep and for those awake, hope to see you on the darkside of the witching hour. That place has been kicking our behind lately and haven't been able to read much on TDK much less talk ..... don't they know its a good stress relief to read enjoyable stuff rather than other stuff...
Recipes from Mom, I wish I had gotten more from mine too...

In the event I don't make it back here this evening and MS & jcat turn in early this evening too....
It's 3.42 am here in AZ, ... cool to d**n chilly in USA and the night is warm in NZ (most days)..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

*Comes in to get a much-needed cup of tea.*
Okay, I'm finally on broadband. The modem is suspended in the middle of the air in the middle of the office from three cords, all going in different directions. The power cord's going to the next-door bedroom (no more power points in here), one connection's going to the computer and the phone connection's strung out into the hall. All the cords only just reach to the modem, hence it being in the middle of the air. I have to step over the cords and modem very time I come in and out. Is this what they mean by the worldwide web, lol? Not so sure now this was a good idea...
But hey, at least the cats can come and go as they please underneath it...

ROTFL, I love the web comment Jcat. Congratulations, you'll love the extra speed.

Evening Jane, woo hoo broadband!!! So do you need new longer cables?

Already enjoying the extra speed, MS, now I can watch Simon's cat on Youtube without having to wait for half an hour for it to download...
Deb, longer cables is exactly what I need. I will have to take them all to an electronics shop with me and get longer versions. I am clumsy enough without having to step over four foot high spaghetti all the time.
How were your days? I was so knackered after frivolling around yesterday and running around today doing errands that I forgot about my walk :( The lumpiness is increasing as we speak...
