  1. Evening Jan.

Jane, my day was filled with just my morning walk, vacuuming, cleaning up the catfood redecoration project in the kitchen/dining area, and then trying to sleep even. Of course the inside stuff was while it was raining outside with 45-50 mph winds, so quite entertaining for birdwatching or bird tv as the cats calle it :)

  2. Whoo, Deb, that's a lot of wind and rain for you in Arizona, isn't it? I hope you didn't get rained on during your walk! Naughty kitty redecoration project, did you ever find out who the mysterious entity was who came in, wrecked the joint and then was spirited away, leaving the poor Crew to take the blame? ;-)

  3. Sounds like a wet day Deb and windy too. I haven't managed to get my 10km walk today but did do 4km. had my annual eye check and then had numbed and dilated eyes for the rest of the day. I was supposed to be driver for Mum but had to get Mr MS to do that. She is now cleared to drive again after her wee scare. She hated losing her independence. Went to the club this evening and won a leg of lamb and our friend won $300, which was great as he has no work this week.

  4. How very nice to have won the leg of lamb :) So was the annual eye check worth the numb and dilated eyes? Glad that your Mum got her driving back, I know I would feel lost without being able to drive.

Jane, no that trouble making spirit cat never did step up to the plate and accept the responsibility! I put calming liquids in their water this afternoon so hoping that it calms down the bored tiger(s) within them....something has to give for awhile at least.

  5. Righty-o, it's off to MS's for dinner tomorrow night, lamb roast everyone :)

And pleased to hear the $300 went to someone who could really use it, always good when that happens. Good news for your mum too. Sounds like a good day, apart from your numbed eyes, but at least you've got the test out the way for another year.

4 km is very respectable. I wish I'd done 4 km today :)

  6. I'll find out in several weeks if the numb and dilated eyes were worth it but i do like prevention rather than treatment.
HRH didn't come inside until 9pm, ate dinner then snuggled up with me for half an hour and then demanded to go outside. She'll probably be out for the night now as I'm not far off going to bed.

  7. Hello my friends.
MS, wow 4K, I can't even get up from my chair some days. I am impressed!
Deb, I think the kitties had a wild party and forgot to clean up. Maybe they even had a keg..lol
jcat, welcome to broadband :) yay!!
I agree, tomorrow night dinner at MS house. I love lamb!!

  8. I get to take Abbie to the dr today for a follow up visit to make sure her breathing is back to normal. I think it is. But there goes another co-pay ..oh well..It will get us out of the house. It's going to be close to 60! Whoop!
Spring is slowly getting here. I am sure we will be hit with one more snow storm though..it always happens before April. or even during April.

  9. I'll probably follow you, as I just looked at the time -- ohmigosh! Libs is curled up on her beanbag. I got my flu jab today, MS, and the nurse said a case of swine flu had just been confirmed in Wellington today, so if you haven't had yours, you might like to get in early...

  10. Morning, CM, so glad to hear the North American Abber Monkey is recovering nicely :) Hope the doc gives her a clean bill of health and hope you enjoy getting out of the house in the mild weather. How are you feeling these days (apart from exhausted...)?

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  11. Morning CM, 60F is pretty fair considering how your weather has been lately.

Jane, I got the normal flu shot but not the swine flu, never had it avail when I wanted it or I wasn't able to get to the places when they did.

Jan, 4km is a good distance, I only walked 1.5 miles but it felt good. Plus I got to see other people's yards and houses :)

  12. Jcat, I've had my first swine flu jab and the second jab next week. Then it's the usual flu jab sometime soon.
Hi CM. I hope Abbie's breathing is back to normal.
Time for me to go to bed before I face plant onto the keyboard.
Good night/morning my friends and headbonks to all your furkids.

  13. Ok, question since I don't eat fish and still need to get the omega's in....what is the best vitamin/pill for omega/fish stuff without it tasting like fish? I have been taking of the Nature Own fish oil pills and it has the nastiest after-taste.

  14. G'night Jan, sleep well and enjoy tomorrow, scritches to HRH when she comes in to bed down in the morning.

  15. Deb, this shot has three strains in it, and one of them is the swine flu one. I don't always get a flu shot but I would like to have some immunity against swine flu, it's a nasty beast.

Deb, I'm afraid I can't answer that for you but isn't it strange, in all those old children's books, when they used to give the children daily spoonfuls of cod liver oil, they obviously knew what they were doing (even though it tasted ultra-gross)...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  16. Deb, I think you are very likely to get that fishy taste either when taking them or afterwards if you should burp. I don't think it can be avoided, but you never know there might be some odourless ones out by now.

  17. Night MS..Sorry to have disappeared but Abbie got up..argh...early start for her and me...Off to get her milk and stuff.
    I am good jcat..just tired...all the time:)
Hugs to all..catch you later I hope.

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  18. Hugs right back to you, CM :) Hmmm, I am going to be naughty and stay up a few minutes longer. I'm loving the way everything happens so fast now on the computer... doing a wee bit of surfing...

  19. Ewwwwwwwwwwww, codliver oil, the smell of it makes me gag. When I was a puny youngster and had just had my tonsils out I was sent away to a health camp for children. Every morning we were given an orange and a tablespoon of malt extract. Now an orange was total luxury especially as I didn't have to share it and I absolutely loved the malt that had something added to it that I can't remember. I de-punied after getting my tonsils out and the same thing happened to our girls when their tonsils were removed.
OK, just discovered the 'extra' in the malt was halibut oil and vitamin C. I can still remember that wonderful taste, I must have received my daily dose of Omega oils from that malt. Yes Jcat, back in the dim dark ages they seemed to know something.

  20. LOL at Jcat. I wonder just how long her "few minutes longer" will really be. I've been there too Jcat when I got broadband. Enjoy roaming through youtube and listening/watching to music you love.
CM, you look after yourself and take some immune strengthening supplements.
Really off to bed this time.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  21. Lol they did know 'something' but cod liver oil still is nasty tasting!

Jan, you might be right about the burping thing, never have done that with regular basis until I started to seriously take these pills about a month ago.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. Deb, I tried this as a free sample...it is really good. Kinda pricey, though...no aftertaste at all...not even when taken on an empty stomach. Amazon reviewers give it good reviews.

  23. Thank Dee will have to try that.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. Dee, went on Amazon and got the Omega for $18.87 and they only had one left in stock. Can't print coupons here but half price works for me too, thanks!

  25. Think I'd better head off to beddy-byes, sleep well Deb, sweet dreams and catch you tomorrow. Scritches to that naughty crew :)

Have a great day everyone else!

Ohmigosh, I forgot to say goodnight to MS. Sorry, MS, I was wandering the web, just as you predicted. Sorry I missed you, but sleep well and sweet dreams and scritches to HRH. Catch you tomorrow too!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  26. Deb...that is so funny...I was debating on if I wanted to purchase that last one...but I thought you may want to try it since it was half price...haha! Say goodbye to fish burps!

Posted 2 years ago by Dee #

  27. Dee I do appreciate it :)

Jane, good night my friend, enjoy the day tomorrow and scritches to Jasper and Libs in the morning.
