  1. Evening Deb. Yay for sleep. We're all tired here this evening, Meegz is already in bed but Mr MS and A-man are swapping hunting /machinery stories at the moment.

  2. Aarghhh. Cyberspace ate my post!

Evening Deb, glad you got some sleep. Have you anything nice planned for today?

Ooh, MS, lovely, some quality girl time. This time last week, my mum was over here! I really enjoyed it. No, I haven't heard anything about that movie either...

I remember when my friend's sister got married, my friend arranged a massage for her the day before the wedding, so she could get a little less de-stressed. It sounded like a nice idea. You two could get one together :)

  3. Jan, Lol that is funny that the women are tired and the men are swapping 'man' stories. Loved those pictures of the storm that you posted! Saw your comment on buffing the floors with the girls nappies, so its putting them on the floor and buffing as you move about right?

Jane, so many kitties, I would love all of them but sorry there are so many...that has to be hard on the shelter. Oh massages are wonderful and very relaxing things, I agree its a wonderful idea before the wedding :)

Not planning on much today, morning walk of course and then I am going to visit my friend in Sierra Vista where I used to live. Long drive but worth the visit, she is my dear friend who got sick about three years ago and to date the doctors can't figure out why its getting worse all the time :( We just need face-to-face time rather then just emails (she loses her breathe within 1-3 mins on the phone) and 30 min visits every 3-4 months. That should be my day mostly, and Sarah (my 2nd dau) should be here tomorrow for a week or two relaxing or going to Spring Training baseball games.

  4. Jan, I forgot to ask did the package get there for Meegz and Andrew? I still haven't sent the card, I know that's bad and will send it today :(

  5. Yes Deb, I fold the old nappies up into a think square and step on and shuffle around the floor trying to give the floor a bit of shine. They are old towelling nappies and way past their best as nappies but great for drying the car after washing it and buffing the floor.
You have a great visit with your friend and I bet you'll have fun with your daughter staying.

  6. Deb, so sorry to hear about your friend, that has to be hard to live with, but it's lovely that you're going to get to spend some time with her and with your daughter tomorrow, sounds like a good weekend to me :) Drive carefully.

We do, we do love all the kitties, I love being with them but it also breaks your heart. They are all so lovely and they all deserve such a good home. With luck they will get one, but it may take a while and I pray we don't get too many more in. (Or too many mums with eight kittens!)

  7. OK, the boys have suddenly decided to pack up and head to bed so I guess it's time I did the same. HRH is still outside, must be good hunting.
I'll see you all tomorrow some time between wedding things and the movies.
Sweet dreams when your heads hit the pillow and headbonks to The Crew and Libby & Jasper.

  8. G'night Jan, sleep well and have a wonderful day tomorrow, scritches to HRH in the morning.

  9. Jane, that would be the hard part for me, all the kittens that need homes. Kittens and cats need loving homes, and I would be so tempted to take one or two home....oh that would go over so well with adding more to the crew, not!

  10. Night MS! Sorry to have missed you. Have a good night.
hi Deb. So glad you are going to see your friend. How horrible for her to deal with those health issues. I hope she's okay. I know you will have fun with Sarah. Baseball means that spring is here!
jcat, my friend, I give you credit for not taking all those kitties home. I cry if I go into a petshop...a shelter would tear my heart way up. Bless you for visiting and loving those babies and older kitties too!

  11. Morning CM :) Its terrible to say but seeing Neal going thru these health issues makes me think about my own. She was and still is (in her mind right now) one of the most vibrant and uplifting people that I have ever met. She still has more drive to get things done than I will ever have, she is an impressive woman.

  12. It is a struggle, Deb, it's no accident that all the shelter volunteers usually have multiple animals...

Nighty-night, Jan, Sweet dreams and sleep well and scritches to HRH when she does show her little face. Libs brought a dead mouse into the corridor when I opened the door onto the storm tonight -- luckily Jas came up to see what she was doing and she immediately picked it up and ran back outside with it again. I had been asking her to take it straight out again but naturally she didn't listen to me!

I should head off too, hope you manage to get some more sleep Deb, if you go back to bed. Have fun with your friend today and travel safely. Catch you tomorrow!

  13. The older we get the more we notice and the more we deal with health issues. Some are worse than others. At least she has a positive mindset and that helps bunches I think.

  14. Night Jane. Sweet dreams. See you tomorrow. Have a great Saturday.

  15. Sleep well Jane, have good dreams and enjoy the day when you wake up, scritches to Jasper and Libs (great mouse catcher that she is) :)

  16. CM, it is hard but it's also easier because you just know it's impossible. Even if I took home every single cat in the shelter this week, there'd be another 20 or 30 in next week. Seeing them every week -- and knowing if they've gone, it's because they've found a good home (and I always ask about the people they went home with) makes it easier too. I will get to cuddle Solo and the others again next week, so it's not like it's a sad thing.

Deb, your friend sounds like an amazing person.
