  1. With all the trimmings, bacon, fruits, and eggies.

Breads and cereals are out, all the types of milk you can think of, juices with fruits from all sorts of places! Its truly a delicious morning buffet!

Sammi the morning kitteh is getting the coffee table all set for all the TDKrs today :) She knows so many of us had to "spring forward". She wishes to give head bonks and is trying to give everyone on the computer screen high paws :)

Today all the Polydactle tdk kits are here making the cafe up and running :)

Have a lovely morning. Us hoomans would not be able to get up today without the help of our alarm cats <3

  3. Good morning Chey and Sammie! This sounds like a great cafe! I just got back from doing 40 laps in the pool and I'm starving! As good exercise as swimming is, it makes you really hungry so I'm not sure how good it is for keeping me in shape.

I couldn't get to sleep last night because of the time change and I couldn't get up this morning when the alarm told me it was time to get up and swim. Stupid time change!

  7. Good Morning Fur Family, its back to work today and I am busy as a bumblebee! I hope and pray that today goes fast as I am hacking and coughing like a banshee! Happy Monday all!

  8. Morning all. Still rubbing my eyes from having an hour stolen from me! I have a big cup of English Breakfast tea in front of me to help with that though. I was in a weird mood this morning, so I fixed myself a hamburger for breabfast. 100% Black Angus medium rare, no bun. I guess I was feeling the need of a protein fix! Hope everyone has a good Monday despite feeling like you are up an hour early.

  9. Morning everyone. An omelet with ham, cheese, tomato and onion with some bacon and biscuits with all of it smothered in gravy.

I don't feel like I was up an hour early, oh wait...I wasn't no time change here. Yes, I like AZ.

  10. Top 'o the mornin' all!! This time change was relatively easy for me--of course I didn't have to get up for work this morning, either. BUT, and this is the best part, Cali didn't get me up at 6:30, she waited until 7:30. Yay!
I wish everyone a happy day.

  11. Just another reason for wishing I, too, lived in Arizona! You lucky dude, CCM!

  12. I want to move to AZ!

Chey, 40 laps is all I do there, because my bad hip won't let me do anything else. They have an aquafit class at my gym, too, but the instructor doesn't seem very nice - or motivating, for that matter. I had thought of doing the class when my hip is better, but once I checked it out, I changed my mind. I ran into a friend of mine who said the aquafit class at the other LA Fitness in town is very good, so I may try that one some time.

  13. Good afternoon all - I'm just popping in to say hi. Not hungry, too excited for my visitors in about an hour. Per KYKAT's direction, I'm off to find the person who stole our hour, and myself and Ol' Betsy plan to do them in.

We never had a time change in Montana either. Who's stupid idea WAS this???????

  14. *Peeks into the cafe and yells "HAZEL!!!!!!!!!"* I swear - she has to be the most worthless thing around :-(

  15. My sentiments exactly, HM! It's hard enough getting up in the morning when it's light out. Now, it's soooooo dark that I'll want to stay in bed even longer. It should be illegal to have to get out of bed if it's dark out. If I ever run for office, will you all back me up on that and get that legislation passed? ;)

  16. Well, unfortunately, Montana now has the time shift too. FH, I would vote for you if that was your entire platform!

  17. Well DubbyaTeeEff PJ?

Posted 1 year ago by HuddysMama #

  18. HM - just think - with the hour we lost, you'll have to wait one less hour for your brother and SIL!
That has to be the only good thing about it, though. FH, if I could vote, I'd definitely vote for you!

  19. You'd want to move to either AZ or Hawaii, HM, to avoid the time change. Actually HI doesn't sound too bad, does it?

Posted 1 year ago by GreatDane #

  20. Leave it to you to see the sunny side, GD. :)

Posted 1 year ago by HuddysMama #

  21. ok, what the heck is wrong with people?! grrrrrrr, @#$%& co-workers!!! I have an email pending to a jerk who sent me one...it's a pretty firey response...the question is, do I send it, or ignore this person? What say you all?

Posted 1 year ago by linda #

  22. I try, HM :)

Give yourself an hour to calm down, Linda, before reading it over again and if you still feel like sending it, go for it!

Posted 1 year ago by GreatDane #

  23. I'm with GD, Linda. Take a deep breath (or three) and think hard before hitting send.

  24. Hi Kilroy!
Are you back from your trip or still away?

Posted 1 year ago by GreatDane #

  25. Evening (Or Afternoon!) All! How are we all today? Lovely weather here in the southwest today, I have just been out for a brisk walk in the sun after work. Trying to lose a few pounds (10 to be exact!!) bfore my hols in May.

Posted 1 year ago by Pika #

  26. Whoops, hi GD! Sorry I missed your question. We got back at about 2 this morning (stupid delayed flight, ugh). Good for you for doing 40 laps! I am still a very bad swimmer; I couldn't do 40 laps if someone paid me.

Posted 1 year ago by Kilroy #

  27. Linda, I would say to wait, too. See how you feel tomorrow when you reread your email.

Okay, y'all - I'm feeling really down and discouraged. Some of you may have seen last week where I said that Mr. WWM was having terrible pain in his arm. As in terrible pain. I was fairly certain that it was going to be a pinched nerve and sure enough, an MRI showed a herniated disc at C4 and C7. The doctor gave him some heavy duty pain killers and sent us to PT. The PT is great and sent us home with a home traction device in the hopes that by stretching the vertebrae a bit the disc could slip back in. While it eases the pain while he's in it, as soon as he comes out the pain is right back again. Today we went back to the PT and from all of the tests, we know that it's a nerve problem. The thing that is scaring me is that he has lost some function and a great deal of strength in his right hand. But it's spring break here and lots of the drs just leave. The neurologist that the PT wants him to see isn't taking new patients for two weeks. Far too long, the PT says.

*whine* I don't know what we're supposed to do *major whining*.

Could I please have an early martini?

  28. I'd actually like to do more than the 40 laps, Kilroy, but my friend who swims with me can't do more than that, so for now, that's what we do. I may go alone one weekend and see how much I can do. I did swim 10k once - of course it was 20 years ago, but still!

How's Georgie? Was he happy to see you or upset you were gone?

  29. {{{WWM and Mr. WWM}}} OK, what the heck is happening in the universe that it keeps picking on my TDK family? SM is sick, Mr. WWM is hurt, people's loved ones are sick and dying, it just seems unfair. I know that's life, but don't you think we could all catch a break, just for a bit?

WWM, can the PT call the neurologist and pull some strings?

{{{WWM}}} *pushing pitcher of martinis through wormhole*

Posted 1 year ago by Kilroy #

  30. WWM, talked to one of my PT employees. She said that Mr. WWM NEEDS to get into the neurologist sooner rather than later. The good thing is, he is an active man so that should bode well for him and the loss of function should only be temporary. He may need to build up some of the strength he lost but that is relatively easy once the disc slides back into place as well. Does he have some hand/arm exercises to keep the strength in his hand? I know they probably don't want him lifting his arm too high but he could do some Playdoh manipulation in his hand, just keep rolling it up and squeezing it. Then rolling it out on a table into a long snake like form then rolling it back up again (all with the weakened hand). He could also get one of those stress balls and squeeze that about 100X each hour. Just a few thoughts!
