  1. Or perhaps 2P?

  2. Oh, that's right! I was so excited reading about pizza that I forgot about 2P. I will change the thread...thanks, SM!

  3. Deb is in Tucson--but it might be worth the drive! Sure looks good. Mom was in Pheonix last week--but she has this favorite cafe she likes with Native American food.

  4. Hmmm...I kinda of have to agree with the guy who left a comment. If they only visited 25 cities out of the whole US how can it be the best in America. IMHO, if your place doesn't make a pizza that includes pepperoni then you ain't making pizza.

  5. I like a good pepperoni and mushroom pizza!

  6. Have not been to this particular place. The pizza options, frankly, don't appeal to me. I'm a pepperoni pizza eater... not too adventurous with my pizzas. LOL

  7. SM, check out the FFF site...your mom may like a Native American freebie just posted...

  8. Her entire house is Native American styled. She began working with the Pima and felt at one with their spiritual beliefs. Thanks Dee!

  10. I think Mr. K and I walked past this place when we were in Phoenix last week, but we almost never get pizza when we're out, since he makes (imo) the best pizza on the planet (MCW, the next time you're here we must make you one - it was too hot during your US tour).

  11. I'm assuming you mean too hot to cook one in the apartment, because it is NEVER too hot for pizza!!!!! ;o)

  12. That's what I meant :) We have to crank the oven up as high as it will go, which is just ridiculous in the summer.

  13. You forgot about me! I have been there, it's always crowded and they don't take reservations, but it is definitely as good as any I've had in NY! Unfortunately, Chris Bianco has very bad COPD and has to retire because of the dust from the flour. His workers will keep the place going, but I wonder if it will be the same.

  14. SM you are right--I was thinking you were in Sedona for some reason! Perhaps I should pay attention it is in your title! Which type is the best to get there? I hope that Mr. Bianco can at least come in and check up on the pizza--hate to see his creation cease when he is getting this type of press! I also forgot about CCM and he is there now too--right?

  15. I'm sorry that I forgot about you, Sheba's mom!

  16. I haven't tried it yet, but will have too when I make it up to Phoenix to visit with my son. I have found the best white cheese veggie pizza is from Vinny's in Sierra Vista, love his pizza on thin crust....my absolute fav pizza is pepperoni with pineapple on thin crust.

  20. Dee, my favorite Pizza ever was the old "Maria's" Pizza, on S. Westshore Blvd.... I think it's now still some kind of Italian restaurant, but growing up, it truly had the BEST pizza, my Dad would take us there at least everyother weekend!..... oh, I'll have to drive by and tell you the name of it now, it's just before El Prado on the west side of the street, across from that old TV/repair place that's been there forever, south of the fresh produce market thingy......do you know where I'm talking about???

...some brain f**t is telling me it's now a CDBs????? I could be so wrong! LOL

Posted 1 year ago by AV #

  21. AV, you are right...it's a CDB's now. 6 months ago, I moved from living in that area on the bay for three years. It's a great part of town. I don't remember seeing a Maria's pizza in that spot. But, Galley pizza, across the street, has been there for many years and they have great pizza and salads. And I loved going to the produce market you mentioned, Garden of Eat'n...what a great name!

  22. Okay, now you have got me wanting pizza! But the best pizza I ever had was from a small shop called Pizza Heaven, in Englewood, Colorado, in the late 70's - it had the best whole wheat crust and is unfortunately no longer around. But there is another place up here in the small town of Idaho Springs called Beau Jo's. They have two different types, a Mountain Pie and a Prairie Pie, please come to Colorado and try them sometime.

  23. I liked the margherita (sp) pizza the best. A group of us went there and we ordered several different pies. All were great---they are all thin crust.

  24. Since it is so hard to get in to Bianco's )people start to line up around 4 PM) I like NYPD Pizza also. They have all the ingredients shipped in from NY, even the water (I am convinced the awful water here spoils everthing that's made with it).
