I agree, SM, and what's more, so do my parents. (And they haven't agreed on ANYthing since they divorced in 1979!)

Mmmmmmmmmmm I smell corned beef and cabbage. I also love my corned beef with carrots and fried onions. I use a tiny amount of orange zest in the corned beef cooking liquid too. Zing!

Morning or evening Littermates. Once again, insomnia has struck. Not to mention my sore throat is even more sore! So, me and the girls got up, took down our St. Patrick's Day decorations (yes I decorate for EVERY imaginable holiday) and started pulling out Easter things. The girls are playing with their scratching board because I put some fresh catnip on it. How is everyone today?

Morning and evening my friends.
MC, how awesome that you decorate. I want to do that but we dont have storage space or room. Our house is TINY! I can't wait to sell it and get a nice big house so I can go gaga decorating!
MS, yes, how is HRH? I hope she is better.
Maddie and I have dentist appts at 8am today..just a cleaning for me and a check up for her. Wayne is going with us to watch Abbie then running to work from there. We love our dentist, so I always like going.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Morning, MC and CM! CM, I'm so glad you like your dentist, that's gotta help! :)
MC, I'm with CM, how awesome that you decorate for everything. I think that's lovely. I don't have the energy but I wish I did. I bet your friends and family love coming round to your place on a holiday! What kind of St Pat's day decorations do you have?
But I'm sorry to hear about your sore throat and insomnia, that's stinky!

jcat, how are you this evening?
MC, I hope you feel better soon honey. Being sick really sucks monkey toes and especially with your condition.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Evening Jcat,CM,MC. HRH Shadz is fine today. You would never know she had a bite on her tongue. The vet said that he had a very wise professor who said "Treat it now before it heals itself" and he did say that her tongue was healing itself very nicely but gave her the antibiotics as mouths are great places for germs and pain killer so she could eat without pain. Shadz is now coming inside at night to sleep but I think it has more to do with the cold than anything else. It was below 0C in places this morning but we did have a beautiful hot sunny day.

I'm fine, thanks, CM, just coasting along as usual, working, looking forward to seeing the kitties tomorrow, not looking forward to the grocery shopping :(
It is definitely getting chillier here though, I am putting more and more layers on, especially at night, and the kitties are spending more time inside already... Our clocks go back on April 4.

Ok, so I am a total holiday crazy woman! I have lights I hang outside (just like at Christmas) and wrap around my light pole too. I take the bulbs out around the house and garage and put in green ones. I also have light "sculptures" as they are called and put those in my windows around the house. I also have door decorations. Now those have come down, the spring-pink, purple, yellow and baby blue lights come out. I have bunnies to put in all the windows. I was disappointed to find that when I plugged in the pretty easter egg light sculpture, it didn't work. I will have to work on it tonight, its so cute! Problem is, I guess I have faith in people, maybe too much. People, kids, steal my decorations! :-(

Oh, how could they steal them, MC, when you're making the whole neighbourhood so pretty?
I have neighbours who put up amazing Christmas decorations for charity each year and the same thing happens, people are appalling!
But I bet most people love passing by your house when it's all lit up, I bet it gives them a real buzz and puts a big smile on their face. I love seeing houses all lit up. I think we might need piccies of your Easter decorations :)

Took Mum's new cat Snuggles for her second vaccination today and this was the first time our vet has seen her. He says, Wow! She is a big cat. She's not fat but tall and long. She just need her teeth cleaned sometime but otherwise she is in great form.
HRH has just come in, gobbled down some milk and cookies and is now curled up on my side of the bed. great !Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

MC that's so awesome!! i love the whole decorating everything. Sad that people trash and steal. Shame on them.
Glad you are well jcat..I will grocery shop for you :) I love doing that.
We switched time already last week. I don't know why we do it at all..just keep it the same..grrrr...So you switch on Easter..good to know :)
I am going to go get dressed and ready so I don't know if I will be back on. Once Wayne is in the shower, it will be up to me to get the girls ready to go...so I had better be ready..
night to you MS and jcat in case I don't return. Have a great Friday!!!
MC, don't work too hard , rest, feel better and get some sleep woman!! lol
Hugs to all!!!Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Have a great day, CM, big {{{hugs}}} to you and the girls. (I would hug Wayne as well but that might be a bit fresh...)
It's a deal, you can grocery shop for me and I will keep on summer time for you. I LOVE daylight saving -- long warm summer evenings, when I can get heaps done that I haven't done during the day and go for long relaxing walks in the cool of the evening. It is my favourite time of year, I think.
-
MC, your place sounds very festive and colourful with decorations. It is sad when people steal and break your things, I think they must be envious to a certain degree and the rest is just plain mean heartedness.
They must be w***ing Deb hard tonight, she probably has the 'guys' yakking away in her ear again.
Jcat, was it cold enough for you this morning? my brother had his first frost of the year on his lifestyle block halfway up the ranges. He says it's a month early. Yikes. It was -3C at Waiouru, brrrrr.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Hope your day is more successful than KK and mine was CM.

Oh, yes, it is definitely cold enough for me in the mornings and at night too, MS. I am seriously considering getting back into the flannel PJs and putting the flannelette sheets back on the bed -- I already have two duvets back on...
What was wrong with your day and KK's, MS?
-
KK had a presentation to do in the "big smoke' but the printer jammed as she was printing out some of it, then her workmate booked the taxi for the wrong time and they missed their flight, the got the next plane out and made the appointment on time and the presentation went well but she could have done without the hassles.
My day was I forgot the cat cage and had to race back home to get it then Mum and I were waiting for my brother to check in her roof space to make sure her insulation had been done properly. He took several hours to arrive and we could have done our grocery shopping in that time. The the tree pruners arrived just when we were heading out and we had to wait for them to finish. We got off shopping about 4 hours late. There was good news though, Mr MS was overcharged wwhen buying something for Mum's pool and I found the docket and got a very healthy refund and a package from Airy arrived with fairy lights for the wedding and KK's birthday present.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Ohmigosh, I bet you both needed a stiff drink after all that. I'm glad that all's well that ends well, though. I hope KK got some lemon doughnuts out of it.
Grrrrr at brother and tree pruners, I hate having to wait round when there are things to do, glad they finally turned up. I hope you got all the infuriating things over and done with in one day :)

I've lost two days of time this week waiting for things to happen, it throws everything out of whack when it doesn't happen in your time frame.
Speaking of time, I'm attempting to get to bed on the same day I wake up so I had better say goodnight/morning and chin scritches to all the kitties and leave you all.
Goodnight/morning all. I have 7 minutes left before the witching hour.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Nighty-night, MS, sweet dreams and smooches to Miss Shadz.
I had better start pottering off too. Deb, hope they're not working you too hard, sleep well when you get home and sweet dreams, with scritches to all the crew.
Hope everyone else has a great day, catch you on the flipside!
