  1. Well I am not a basketball person, but the mighty Lobos have made it! So in preperation for the game there are all kinds of junk food! Hot Dogs (personally I say stick to the Hebrew Nationals), hamburgers, nachos, popcorn, pickles (I seriously do not recommend the fried pickle--never had one but seriously it is a fried pickle--YUCK!), and the fountains are flowing!

Pull up a chair and cheer on the Lobos--or your favorite team!

  2. Ewwwww.... I hate college sports ('cept wrestling). But, being a good Marylander I'll root for the Terps to do well :) I'm still battling the bug-a-boo so I'll look around and see if a get-well kit has some chicken soup and back to rest I go! Have a good night everyone. Hope to be back on a more regular basis soon. Love to all!

  3. Ok, you two can root for the basketball teams, at least someone will be in their 'court'. Can't watch it without getting up every couple of minutes to find something/anything to do, lol. Hope that you both had a good day and enjoy your evening.

  4. No sports watching for me.... dress rehearsal for final gig at 7 tonight and much to gather and ready prior to that. Gig is a fund raiser for a horse rescue... worthy cause :)

  5. I really, really do not like basketball, but I do like cheeseburgers! May I have one, please, well done. I know martinis don't go with burgers, but can I have one anyway? It's been that kind of day!

  6. Martinis go with everything!!! Extra olives?

Posted 1 year ago by SoxsMom #

  7. Hi all!... SM, I'll take a Martini, extra dirty....... and BTW, fried pickels are AWESOME!!!!.... I love them - but then again, I love pickels!..... one of my favorite "local" restaurant cafes in NC puts them in their chef's salad, and I'm totally addicted to it!... but then again, I LOVE pickels!!!!!

    how is everyone tonight?

  8. I am from Indiana where basketball is a religion! Go Purdue (my alma mater!). THey always choke so they should be out soon. I would love some nachos, extra spicy cheese and a martini please. Thank you!

  9. No dirty martini for me, thanks - a nice blueberry one!
    I'll have some nachos, too!

Posted 1 year ago by GreatDane #

  10. Fried and Pickle should not be in the same sentence! Icky! I have yet to understand the love of pickles here. I like them and eat them--but at the movie theater here people are mort apt to eat a pickle than popcorn--very strange to me--then again I am a popcorn lover!

  11. Wait, wait..... martinis???? Yeah, I'll have one!!!! Just slightly dirty.

Well SM - I don't know here. Did the Lobos beat my alma mater UTEP?? I mean, I like the Lobos but if they were up against the Miners.... nope.

  12. Well I am off to care for my patient and hopefully to rest my finger so that it will stop throbbing. Have a wonderful evening, Everyone! I will see you on the flip side.

  13. Night WWM! Take care of the patient AND be a good patient yourself!

  15. Husband hasn't bothered to come home. Daughter ruined my good tupperware that I got for my wedding--23 years and in 5 minutes she just ruines it. Melted one and used one to cook something with tomato. Well I can see how my night is going to go.

  19. SM, I also has things happen to my Tupperware, Meegz and friends(actually her 2 bridesmaids) were doing some baking some years ago and melted some Tupperware and somehow set some walnuts on fire in the oven and ruined a non-stick baking tray. i can still see those half walnuts sitting there flaming away until they were launched out the door to make wee burnt spots on the grass.

  21. Evening, MS, how goes it?

Personally, I am VERY impressed that SM has managed to keep her Tupperware in beautiful condition for 23 years. I am so accident prone that it would all last about a year or so with me (that's if it were non-breakable) -- and all my parents' wedding presents (mostly china) long since bit the dust, I'm fairly sure before my brother and I even hit primary school...

  22. I've been fussy about my Tupperware as it cost me a pretty penny. It never goes in the microwave and never has anything hot put in it.
I well remember many years ago with my brothers dropping and breaking several cracked plates from our parents dinner set. Mum was suspicious that all three of us did the same thing and also it was their anniversary the next day and she guessed we had, with dad's input bought a new dinner set. She still has and uses the remains of the original set.
How was your day and was the night any warmer last night?

  23. My day was lovely, thanks, MS, didn't get much done but did have fun canoodling the kittens at the shelter today. Everyone in Iso is still very sick so we're being very careful about not mixing our rooms, so I spent the afternoon in the kitten room, where there are a few sneezes but nothing too bad (yet, touchwood). We now have 82 cats and kittens in the centre. It is a bit of a worry. There are more mums and kits out with foster parents.

On the bright side, one of the volunteers had brought in the excess from his garden -- I came home with a green pepper, loads of fresh bay leaves, tiny cherry tomatoes and two beautiful AUBERGINES!

I hope your day and KK's were more successful today...

  24. We were supposed to have a sunny day but we ended up with it being overcast, yuk! Got some things done but nowhere near as much as I needed to get done. Made it a long day and I'm already yawning.
HRH has come in for the night and is sprawled in Mr MS's lap.
No, according to him she has just exited his lap without the usual claws on take off. He's thankful she has changed her method of exiting.

  25. Ouch, Shadz, that makes me wince just thinking about it.

Sorry you had an overcast day, it was actually nice and sunny here but I think we are in for a blustery norwester during the weekend, it will be hot AND blowing a gale.

  26. Oh interesting thing happened earlier, I got the 11pm Dreaded Glitch at 10pm. I guess the change to daylight savings somewhere has altered it Glitches appearance time.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  27. Ooh, that would be good except that on April 4, we go back an hour and it will be the dreaded 11pm glitch again. Darn!

I am determined to get some really good wood stripping in this weekend. I haven't done any for so long and if I make a push, I reckon I could finish the living room soon...
