   I remember a few of you mentioning what items you love from Aldis. I think CM mentioned a few products and maybe AV, too. I went yesterday and that place is awesome!!! I can't remember what specific products you all mentioned, but would love to know what I should get next time.

   FH, I love most everything at Aldi's except the following:

   Fresh veggies (they smell and taste moldy)
   Frozen meats (they are very tough when you cook them)
   Canned chicken & dumplings (to many bones!!)

   Everything else is awesome, as a matter of fact I'm on my way there after work today.

   There are so many good things!! Their cereals, canned goods and dairy products are great for starters. I also like the pre-cooked bacon (it's only $1.99 for a good size package). They don't have many brand names, but their products are good, not to mention reasonable. I agree with Deb on the veggies, and in some cases you have to buy their prepackaged sizes, which just doesn't do for one person. You just have to try things and compare to see if you like them.    The cereals rock! wonderful. I buy the frozen veggies, those are good. The bags of potatoes, onions and green peppers..never had a problem. I will buy some of their fruit, but the bananas you would have to eat the minute you open the bag.
   Appleton meats ie:sausage is wonderful(I just bought a package there the other day and wow!)...Appleton Hams are awesome. I buy their meats and they are good too. Yogurt, good. Bacon, good. Butter, biscuits, cheese, are good too. I buy their bread too. pancake mix... The bacon wrapped filet for 1.89 isn't bad either. We have eaten those a lot. I fix them for Maddie more who loves them. I just take the bacon off.
   FH..I buy most of my stuff there now. Except for a few items like cat food, or toilet paper...stuff like that.

   I love their frozen green beans. The whole green beans that are long and really skinny. mmmmmmmm. I also love when they have ethnic food in the frozen section like schnitzle and things like that.

   everything everybody has said on this thread is true. the refrigerated canned bisquits suck. the luncheon meat (spam) is good. the scoopable kitty litter is very good...
