and it's their 50th. my father has not cut the lines of communication. my mom has. i have this gut feeling that if i don't send them a card, mom will add the act of omission to my list of "sins"...
any opinions ???

Send a cordial anniversary card if for no one other than you Father and leave it alone. You have not had communication with you Mother--why change that in light of how your relationship is with her? I think your Father will appreciate the card and nothing you do will please your Mother, so don't give her another thought. Right now you are taking care of you, so you can pass your physical and return to work.
