Hi! Anyone else notice all the thread posts are OLD? I think this poor site has so much traffic we caused it to crash yesterday! I don't know about you but I sure did miss it! It looks like it might still be a tad "confused" and will take a while for the threads to sort themselves out. Happy Friday or Saturday to y'all. Hope it is a marvelous weekend on your end. Today we have a beautiful spring spread with a full English Breakfast. The Burmese are hosting today, in full furnets, windows open, flowers blooming and upbeat music playing. I am getting a larger tv thanks to a friend who's dad was getting rid of a newish tv (for free). Aperently he bought a new plasma so I get this LARGE box tv. hehe :) I can watch all my movies on a BIG screen and actualy read the close captioning more then a foot away :) I am most pleased!

I also get my audio book device today. Have to say this is one heck of a good Friday to me!

Morning, all! So glad we are back up and running; I'm hoping hard that KM can retrieve the Gizmo tributes for KH.
I'm sending massive waves of academic white light in the direction of my friend, who began her Ph.D. thesis defense about 15 minutes ago. If all goes according to plan she should be done by noon.
I did 14 lengths of the pool this morning, which was pretty good because I'm TIRED. I'm meeting my friend for dinner tonight to celebrate and hoping I don't fall asleep in the sake (it's a Japanese place).
Beautiful day here today, but we're supposed to get rain over the weekend. I'm hoping to squeeze in a bike ride tomorrow, and maybe the pool on Sunday.

I too tried to get on TDK when I got home from work last night, but couldn't. I figured something was off so gave up after awhile and went to bed.
It's also a gorgeous day here with the bluest sky and so sunny! Wow!!! I was outside for a bit and saw a robin building his nest in a pine tree in my yard, the hawk fly over, the adorable flicker woodpecker and heard many birds and woodpeckers searching for their breakfast! What a treat. Yesterday morning the flicker and a chipmunk were only about a foot away from each other digging around in the grass on the hill. SO cute. When I picked up Gavin to show him, it scared them and off they went. The joys of country living..... :) -
Morning all! TGIF! I am ready for the day to be done and I can head out. I have some semi work related errands to do this afternoon so I get to leave a bit early. Yea! AND my favorite new lunch place is serving crab bisque today so double Yea!

C4C, some days are just like that. You are not in the mood for doing something you know you should be doing.
Lunch soon and a DQ blizzard for dessert. They were having a special of buying one blizzard at regular price and getting the second for 25 cents. So I stopped and got blizzards for the four of us here who eat lunch together. (The sale is over on Sunday, so if you want the special, get it now.)

Hi all - so nice to be back!
I had a horrible day at work yesterday. One of the clients was being a complaining **tch - not complaining about me, but the physical therapist/independent trainer who's been helping me out. I tried politely sticking up for him, and she became even more upset. Everyone who comes in at night can't stand this woman and last night the PT ended up leaving when he saw she was there (their first altercation was Wednesday night but all the complaining happened last night). I seriously think if this woman keeps coming in, the regular guys who've been there for years will stop showing up.
Anyway - first that, then TDK was down and then my mouse kept getting stuck so I couldn't play Bejeweled. Tough, tough evening!Did 52 laps this morning and then undid all of it going out for breakfast with swim friend, but it was worth it! Had a nice spinach and cheese omelette, hashbrowns and toast. Yummy!
Now I'm trying to muster up the energy to give Bobby a bath, give my floor a bath, too, and clean the bathroom. Then everything should be ready if I find time this weekend to have GG over to meet the boys. Yep, it's been almost 8 months and he's never been to my place or met the boys, because my place isn't very nice. But now at least it has furniture and is clean and straightened up :)

But to help with the place being nice, I now have a clean floor, a clean bathroom and a clean (but unhappy) Bobby!
This is as good as it's going to get - all I have left to do is put away cat-hairy blankets (just for a little while and make the place smell nice with a couple of Glade candles - love the "Island Escape" one!I also have 2 candy cane catnip sticks for GG to bribe the boys with ;-)
