Well, truthfully we don't know if today is their actual birthday since they were itty bitty feral kitties. But today is our anniversary and so we named this date as their birthday as well.
I can't believe that they are three years old! Precious Willow and Windi, thank you for coming into our lives and bringing us so much joy. We love you very, very much!

Seems like only yesterday your girls were helping Shaddo around the roller rink with the special "walker on wheels". And you always sent them to the rink with a big box of Hello Kitty Band Aids!

*Georgie struggles through the wormhole with a gigantic nip cake for his 2 favorite ladies in black. In his mouth he is carrying a bouquet of Texas wildflowers for WWM, who is always so nice to him when he visits*

Oh, thank you, Everyone! Based on Willow's age when she found us we know that the girls were born around this time. What lucky little girls! Had they not found us they would be a coyote burp by now. And to think that we said we weren't going to have any more kitties after we lost our Bombalurina! I can't imagine our home without these two very spoiled little girls.
Mr. WWM is taking me out to dinner to celebrate our (wedding) anniversary. It doesn't seem possible that it's been this many years - it seems like just yesterday. We were married in Honolulu while he was on R&R from Vietnam.
Willow looks at Windi and says, "Ruggles is going to have fireworks for us and all of our friends tonight so we had better get you some ear plugs so that you won't be scared". She dashes to the computer to look on Amazon for kitty ear plugs. Windi looks worried and dives into her toy box and emerges with the pink "snake" that her mama ordered for her from little Melvin's mom. She attempts to tie it over her ears so that the loud booms won't be scary and then decides that the pink looks stunning against her black fur. Windi begins to prance around showing off her new head gear.

Dot & Crockey sneak thru the worm hole with feather wands for both birthday kits! They can't wait to see the fireworks but brought earplugs just in case! They let Marmite know about the party...it is a safe fun place for the new kit on the block in TDK land! C'mon Marmite join in on the birthday fun!
Willow looks at Windi and says, "Dot and Crockey have brought us feather wands! How did they know that feathers are our favorite?" Windi cautiously takes her wand in her mouth and drags it off to show WWM what she has caught!

Windi's eyes mist over when she sees what Spice has brought. Windi adores catnip! She gently takes the blue ribbon in her mouth and runs off with the nip before her sister sees it......

Betty and Wilma slide into their pretty pink and purple dresses. Bows in their fur just above their ears. They run to the kitchen and get the catnip cookies they baked earlier today. Sure hope they made enough for all their friends tonight. They look for meowmy's earmuffs so they won't be scared when the fireworks go off!

Wow, Willow and Windi are three already!!! They are right in-between Bobby and Mi, age-wise. Happy birthday, sweet girls!

Bobby and Mi love fireworks for whatever reason. Guess they're used to all the noise and flashes from all the South Florida thunder storms. Bobby had a bath today so he will smell very nice for the girls' party and be nice and fluffy. Mi is wearing his handsome new light blue collar and looks fabulous himself. Mi has discovered that Mama planted cat grass in a nice container over the weekend and decides to bring the girls the planter as a present. He's relieved Spice has brought the catnip plant so he doesn't have to part with the one Mama got the boys the other day. Mi is very fond ot nip - almost as much so as Bobby :)
Jetta says she needs to get out of the house and mama can I please go? Surely they will need a chaperon, especially since Mr and Mrs WWM will be out to dinner for a few hours. Jetta asks if the kitties at Grandpa's house can go. There has been so much sadness over there they sure could use a fun time! So with mama's blessing, some nip treats and presents, jetta puts on her emerald green party dress and whooshes through the wormhole to get: Boo Boo (he's deaf so the fireworks won't bother him...if we can just get him off grandpa's stuff) and Indi (who is very rowdy) Spooky and Mickey who are so sweet and still missing their mom and little Coco, who is blind, slightly deformed and has seizures. He is really missing his mom and Jetta thinks a party is just the ticket! They pick up a fresh nip plant that Uncle Glenn grows in his room and they all get a quick fresh brushing and a cleaning from Boo Boo and then they each pick a toy from the big basket full of them to give to the birthday girls and off they go! Now they have never been to a party and mama is a bit worried about their behavior but Jetta promises to keep a good eye on them (as she winks to mama on her way out!). Have fun little brood. Be kind and have a great time dancing. Enjoy the fireworks and be sure to clean up after yourselves! Introduce yourselves nicely. There are lots of wonderful new friends to meet and play with! Can't wait to hear what fun you all had!

Willow looks at Windi and winks. "You know, mama and daddy have reservations at 7:00 which means that we will be HOME ALONE!" Windi looks confused, which truth be told is her normal look, and asks her sister what difference that would make. With a great sigh Willow says, "PARTY!!! Quick, let's put up some decorations". The girls scamper around and raid closets and drawers to find decorations. Windi remembers that mom and day went to Sam's Club recently and bought toilet paper. She grabs the package of twelve rolls and she begins to carefully unwind them and drape the sheets over all of the furniture. Then she dashes out onto the screened in porch to collect whatever dried leaves might be available.
Willow, meanwhile, raids the toy box and fishes out all of the toys with feathers. She artfully places them amongst the strands of toilet paper until she is convinced that they look quite festive.
The girls ponder what to put on because it has turned into a chilly evening in West Texas. Windi decides on her Osh-gosh overalls with a Hello Kitty tee-shirt underneath and Willow dons her emerald green sleek cat unitard which she knows brings out the green in her eyes.
The girls rummage through the pantry and set out bowls of Pounce catnip treats, sardines, people tuna and Lickitty's.
They think that all is ready for their friends.

OOh, move over Bobby, my girls like Lickkitty's too! Betty and Wilma swoosh thru the worm hole and run over to the Birthday girls. They share headbonks and they present their catnip cookies and catnip soda to the girls. Betty pulls out a nice pink package for the girls. Inside is a nice kitty "warmer" blanket. They aren't sure they have these in Texas so they explain how they work to the girls. The blanket is insulated so when the girls are lying on it, it warms up, holds the heat and then stays warm keeping the girls toasty! My girls each have one and love to snuggle down in theirs!
